This guide gives weapons, exotics, and armor mods for a Destiny 2 Void Titan PvE Build, intended for end-game PvE players!
Updated June 19, 2024: Destiny 2: The Final Shape and Update 8.0.0.1 has many crucial changes. The new expansion brings a new subclass, Salvation’s Edge raid, with new weapons and gear, a power level increase, new exotic gear, and – never seen before – exotic class items. Also, the new base game update includes many class and weapon balance changes that influenced the Destiny 2 builds and meta.
Why Should You Void Titan in PvE?
Our Void Titan build is one of the most versatile builds we have. It works in most situations, and can even be adapted to fit most other subclasses. While not the most powerful choice, it is very dependable and can survive through most situations Destiny 2 can throw at you. The Precious Scars exotic helmet gives us free restoration. That combined with Devour and Volatile turns this build into an almost unkillable bastion of void energy. Find out all the details on how to craft, create, and optimize our Void Titan PvE Build.
Destiny 2 Void Titan PvE Build
The following list presents all the essential Void Titan PvE Mechanics and Features in Destiny 2:
- Subclass: Sentinel
- Primary Stat: Resilience
- Super: Ward of Dawn
- Class Ability: Rally Barricade
- Jump: Catapult Lift
- Grenade: Vortex Grenade
- Melee: Shield Bash
- Aspects: Controlled Demolition, Bastion
- Fragments: Echo of Cessation, Echo of Expulsion, Echo of Instability, Echo of Starvation
Abilities
The best abilities for our Void Titan PvE Build are Rally Barricade, Vortex Grenade, and Shield Bash. We utilize the Ward of Dawn super, but this could be flexed out with a more offensive option if that is preferred. Rally Barricade is the better option because of its lower cool down, and we want to get void Overshields as often as possible. Shield Bash is a great option for our melee as it gives us a way of Suppressing our targets. The Vortex Grenade is one of the better damage options for grenades. It also has the potential for multiple kills helping us keep up our Restoration and other void effects.
Ward of Dawn – Create an indestructible dome to protect you and your allies. Passing through Ward of Dawn grants you and your allies a temporary increase to weapon damage.
Rally Barricade – Create a small barrier that you can peek over while aiming down sights and that increases weapon reload speed, stability, and range when you stand behind it.
Catapult Lift – Jump while airborne to activate Lift and launch into the air with a strong initial burst of momentum.
Vortex Grenade – A grenade that creates a Vortex that pulls targets inward and continually damages those trapped inside.
Shield Bash – After sprinting for a short time, use this melee ability to unleash a devastating Shield Bash that suppresses the target. Final blows with Shield Bash grant an Overshield.
Use your grenade to get kills as often as possible to create Void Breaches. These will proc Devour for us and feed into our loop of staying alive. Shield Bash can also be handy against Overload Champions. Your barricade is used to get Overshields as often as possible.
Aspects
The best aspects to use with our Void Titan build are Controlled Demolition and Bastion. Controlled Demolition will cause our enemies to become Volatile which means they explode when they die. This also heals us which is great. Bastion will allow our barricades to grant us and our allies Overshield.
Controlled Demolition – Hitting a target with a Void ability or Volatile explosion makes them volatile. Further damage to a volatile target causes them to explode. Grants you and nearby allies health when volatile targets explode near you.
Bastion – Cast your Super to grant Overshield to nearby allies. Casting your Barricade grants Overshield to yourself and nearby allies and empowers it, enabling it to slowly regenerate the Overshield of allies bunkering behind it and extend their Overshield duration.
Controlled Demolition is not only super useful for all of the Void kills it causes, helping keep up our Restoration; it also just is super fun to use. Seeing a group of enemies explode in a huge burst of void light is always great. It also feeds into creating our Void Breaches. Bastion grants us another way of having a survival option. Void Overshields aren’t game-breaking, but they can save your life in a pinch.
Fragments
The best fragments for our Void Titan PvE build are the Echos of Cessation, Expulsion, Instability, and Starvation. These all passively benefit the build via ability generation or debuff application.
Echo of Cessation : Finisher final blows create a burst of Void damage that causes nearby combatants to become volatile. Defeating volatile targets creates a Void Breach.
Echo of Expulsion : Void ability final blows cause targets to explode.
Echo of Instability : Defeating targets with grenades grants Volatile Rounds to your Void weapons.
Echo of Starvation : Picking up a Void Breach or an Orb of Power grants Devour.
Echo of Cessation is our primary method of creating Void Breaches, combined with Controlled Bastion. Combining that with Echo of Starvation grants us an easy loop to keep up Devour since we will be killing lots of volatile enemies and generating orbs. Echo of Expulsion just grants us a bunch more explosions that will also activate Precious Scars. To further increase the spread of Volatility, Echo of Instability allows our grenades to give our weapons Volatile.
Weapons
The best weapons for our Void Titan PvE build are Witherhoard, Age-Old Bond, and Commemoration. While no longer the absolute Best in Slot primary kinetic weapon, Witherhoard is still a really great option for dealing damage to targets. Age-Old Bond has the great combination of Destabilizing Rounds and Repulsor Brace. Feel free to flex this out with any weapon that has that combo. Commemoration is a great all around Void machine gun that works in almost all situations.
Here’s a list of the best weapon loadout for our Void Titan PvE build:
- Kinetic: Witherhoard, Exotic Kinetic Grenade Launcher
- Energy: Age-Old Bond, High-Impact Frame Void Auto Rifle
- Heavy: Commemoration, Adaptive Frame Void Machine Gune
Alternatively, you could go with almost any combination of Void weapons. Le Monarque is always a powerful option in end-game content. Regnant is a powerful Heavy Void Grenade Launcher. The best part of this build is is flexibility and you can utilize almost any combination of weapons so long as you have at least one void weapon to create orbs and breaches.
Exotic Armor
This Void Titan build is designed to be used with the Precious Scars exotic Helmet. Any kill we get with void energy grants us 3 seconds of Restoration. This combined with all of our other survivability tools (Devour, Void Overshields, etc.) makes it very difficult to kill our Titan. While you could get away with not using this, it just adds that extra insurance, keeping us alive.
Armor Stats
The best stats to focus on for our Void Titan PvE build are Resilience, Discipline, and Strength. These provide us with both the offense and defense needed to survive end-game content.
- Mobility: 10
- Resilience: 100
- Recovery: 40
- Discipline: 100
- Intellect: 40
- Strength: 80

Gameplay Tips
This builds strength lies in its survivability and its ease of use. Start off any encounter by getting a grenade kill. This should activate volatility and create a void breach. At that point, pretty much any kill you get with void abilities or weapons will create an orb or breach. Enemies will be becoming Volatile often as well. You will almost always have Devour or Restoration active, and in those rare moments when that’s not enough to keep you alive, just pop a Barricade to grant Overshields.
The Ward of Dawn super is really just a last-second survivability option. Use it in those rare moments when you are getting lit up and nothing else will keep you alive.
