In this guide, we shall go over how to beat the Chromatic Braseleur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, a boss in The Reacher.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 features some of the hardest bosses we’ve faced in gaming in the last few years, and yes, we’re saying this even with Shadow of the Erdtree in mind. The bosses in this game demand that you play smart with your builds while also being at the top of your game with reflexes. Bosses like the Chromatic Braseleur, however, go a step beyond and introduce stance-based gimmicks.
The Chromatic Braseleur is an optional boss in the game, located in the Reacher region. This boss messes with your head using multiple stances. It is unpredictable and hard to beat, but we’re here to help you defeat it. In this guide, we shall go over how to beat the Chromatic Braseleur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

How To Beat Chromatic Braseleur in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

The Chromatic Braseleur is weak to both Fire and Ice, but not at the same time. The boss is a gimmick boss that constantly switches between a Fire and an Ice stance. If it is in a Fire stance, it will be weak to Ice but absorb Fire. If in an Ice stance, it will absorb Ice but be weak to Fire. It is extremely important to adapt to the stances, or you’ll inadvertently end up healing this boss. Keeping its weaknesses in mind, we’ll recommend the trio of Lune, Sciel, and Maelle, as the three have it all covered.
The Chromatic Braseleur uses only three attacks. The first, and perhaps the most lethal, is the Hammer Combo. This is a 6-hit combo that begins with a horizontal swipe. After this, the boss smashes the hammer vertically five times in a row. Keep the switch in mind, and you will be able to parry this one easily.
The second attack is a hammer smash. Here, the boss smashes the hammer on the ground once before lunging at you for a second smash. The first hit can be jumped over and counterattacked. For the second hit, parry right as the boss reaches the halfway point of his jump arc.
The final attack is the Orb attack. The boss summons two Orbs that shoot lasers at you at the same time. You can parry this attack by coordinating the button press with the glow in the Orbs. Parry the attacks and be mindful of the stances to defeat this boss.
