Respeccing Is Free

Don’t shy away from investing points into skills after starting your playthrough. Players can easily respec their character attributes and skills without penalties, allowing for easy experimentation and customization. This feature affords players the flexibility to try new builds with different character specializations and skill synergies.

Try Out All Three Classes

Starting the campaign, you choose between one of three classes: Knight, Huntress, or Mage. However, soon after the first mission is complete, you can complete side missions in the Graveyard map to unlock the other two classes that you didn’t opt for. You can then switch between all three in the town and try out their specializations.

Convert Slorm to Elder Slorm

Once you have made substantial progress through the campaign, you will find yourself accumulating Slorm. The resource can be converted into valuable Elder Slorm by speaking with Olorin outside the Mage Academy. This is especially useful to avoid grinding for Elder Slorm during the late game phase. Explore all of Olorin’s services since he offers valuable unlocks and conversions.

Figure Out Game UI

You can use the inventory’s filter system to narrow down the items you’re looking for when comparing stats. Head to the Filter-o-tron 3000 Mk. 2 to sort items based on rarity, Purity stats, and reinforcement level.

Like any self-respecting RPG, The Slormancer has a cornucopia of items, skills, triggers, and effects that influence stats. Reading the tooltips of items, skills, and abilities may seem boring to some, but it is essential to understand each piece in the larger puzzle that is your build.

One Skill Bonus For Each Line

The game restricts passive skills to one per line in each skill tree, requiring players to choose which skill to equip. This limitation can lead to strategic decisions regarding their builds that impact gameplay. However, passives that are specced in but aren’t being used still increase your base damage. Similarly, inactive Ancestral tree nodes still increase elemental damage.

Collect and Evolve Slorm Reapers

Each class in the game has 120 unique Slorm Reapers. Read their descriptions to determine the build you can create around them. This is where the skill tree respeccing flexibility comes in handy, as you can customize your skills for each Slorm Reaper.

Unlock more Slorm Reapers by completing Breaches in the campaign maps or during Expeditions. Collecting all Reapers requires grinding these missions, as the loot is randomized. Each Reaper levels up and evolves as you collect experience playing with it. Once you attain Reaper Mastery, even low-level Reapers will have high stats, highlighted with orange text. This system improves gameplay by facilitating easier farming and combat progression.
