Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time is an open-world RPG with a vast map to explore and plenty of characters and items to unlock. In addition to fast travel, mounts play a major role in traversing the island quickly and come in all sorts of adorable shapes and sizes. The starting mount is the Camel, meant for desert exploration at the early stages of the main quest.
However, once you establish Base Camp and begin exploring Ginormosia, the Black Horse is the perfect mount to unlock for traveling through the lush landscape. In addition to featuring the classic appeal of a black horse, this mount is relatively easy to unlock if you know where to look.
Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time – How To Unlock the Black Horse Mount
To get the Black Horse mount in Fantasy Life i, you will need to:
- Find The Don (Merchant)
- Have 30 Cashnuts
The Don is a merchant who can be found southwest of Googlierre’s Tower once you set up the Base Camp in Ginormosia. The first time you meet The Don, he will ask whether you prefer vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. Once you answer his question, he will become visible on the map, represented by a bag icon tagged as “Merchant.”
You can then find The Don wandering the island and go to him to check his stock. The merchant’s stock changes frequently, so you may not find The Black Horse Saddle immediately. Check with The Don regularly to see what he’s got for sale.
The Don trades in Cashnuts, which you can find by locating the Leafe-s around the map. Once you have 30 Cashnuts, open the trade menu with The Don, head into the “Other” tab, and check for “Black Horse Saddle.” Select the item and press “Exchange” to trade 30 Cashnuts for the Black Horse Saddle.
How To Equip the Black Horse Mount
To equip the Black Horse as a mount, open the Weird Pad and flip to the second page (E on PC). Then, choose “Mount” (third option on the first row). Select the Black Horse to summon it as a mount. The Black Horse mount is similar to the Brown Horse in everything but shade. It can easily traverse the map, has a dash ability, and can jump to cross over obstacles.
