Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon features an impressive roster of spells, ensuring you always have variety when approaching combat scenarios. These spells range from the RPG classics, such as the ice/fire ones, all the way to some wackier ones, such as Rompult’s Revenge, which turns enemies to cheese.

You’re spoiled for choice when playing the role of a mage in this game, which can lead to decision fatigue. You’ll also have a difficult time focusing on a build if you don’t sort out the spells you wish to use. To make things easier, we’ve picked out five of the best spells the game has to offer. In this article, we shall go over the five best spells you should use in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon.

The first spell we highly recommend using is the Life Transfusion spell. This spell balances offensive and defensive traits perfectly with its two casting variations. The light-casting variation of the spell shoots projectiles that inflict the Bleed status effect while also dealing damage. The heavy casting variation drains the enemy’s HP, healing you in the process. This spell does everything the Blood Transfusion spell does, but better. The relatively higher damage compared to its already impressive Blood counterpart makes this one of the best spells to use.

2) Merlin’s Thorn

Merlin’s Thorn is another offensive spell you absolutely need in your spell arsenal. The spell comes with two casting variations, both focused on dealing damage. The light casting variation shoots out a homing thorn projectile that deals 48-56 damage. The heavy casting variation shoots out a burst of 7 weaker projectiles, making the spell work more like a gun. This variation deals a total of 151-176 damage, making it the perfect spell to kill an enemy quickly.

3) Skeleton Army

While most spells in the game force you to be up close and personal, the Skeleton Army is a spell that offers you the leeway to stay back. Skeleton Army is a spell that summons a small band of skeletons that fight for you. The spell’s light-casting variation is a Ray cast that directs summoned skeletons to attack. The heavy cast is more free-flowing and requires no direction, with a summoned skeleton fighting by your side. This spell is great if you don’t wish to jump into combat yourself.

4) Scorching Pathway

The game has quite a few fire-based spells, but very few come close to the crowd-control capabilities of the Scorching Pathway. The Scorching Pathway spell is a spell that launches a horizontal Burning wave at enemies. The light-casting variation of this spell shoots a standard horizontal wave that pierces through enemies and can catch multiple if you’re strategic with your placement. The heavy casting does the same thing, but with a MUCH wider width and greater damage. This spell is perfect for mobs.

5) Ghost of Broc Meala

The final spell we highly recommend picking up is the Ghost of Broc Meala spell. This spell, much like the Skeleton Army, is a summoning spell, but one that is far more combat efficient. The spell’s light-casting variation summons a ghost and directs it to attack. Where the spell really shines, though, is with its heavy casting variation. The heavy cast summons the Ghost of Broc Meala, who then wreaks havoc and is strong enough to deal with most of the difficult enemies all by itself.
