Mecha Break features various mech robots, also known as Strikers, each with a unique arsenal and abilities. One of the best melee-focused units is the Panther. The UBP-A04S Panther is a Medium Brawler that excels in close-to-mid-range encounters. Specializing in Line Breaker and Weapon Switch aspects, Panther is manufactured by Bifrost Industry Corporation, just like Falcon.

How To Play Panther in Mecha Break
The Panther is extremely agile and powerful in close-range melee combat, equipped with reliable defense options. Both of its weapons, Lance and Shield Blade, are capable of penetrating Fluid Armor and directly damaging enemy HP. This makes Panther lethal and effective even against heavily armored enemies. The Lance attack performs a powerful thrust, staggering enemies and pushing them back. Charging the Lance thrust increases its damage and the thrust distance.
On the other hand, the Shield Blade (a switchable sidearm) allows you to quickly close the gap by tapping the attack button. When using the Shield Blade, aim at units at low altitudes while flying to perform an unparryable downward slash.
Besides the offensive abilities, Panther also features powerful defensive options in its kit. While the Complex Shield blocks frontal attacks, the Reinforced Complex Shield allows Panther to block attacks from all directions. The Complex Shield even lets you parry melee attacks and stagger enemies.
Additionally, Panther also features a Booster Kit as one of its auxiliary abilities, which can be used to immediately restore Energy and the Reinforced Complex Shield.
Panther Counters in Mecha Break
Although Panther’s Lance is a powerful weapon, it doesn’t allow the Striker to change direction while using Lance Thrust. As a result, evading the Lance thrust leaves Panther open to optimal counterattacks. The lack of ranged abilities leaves Panther vulnerable and exposed against long-range shooters. Just like Panther, several other Strikers also possess armor-piercing attacks and can easily break through Panther’s defenses, chipping away its HP. Hurricane, Alysnes, and Welkin are some of the effective counters against Panther.
Tips and Tricks To Play Panther in Mecha Break
- Save your third Booster Kit charge to recharge Energy in emergency situations, either to escape or secure a final blow.
- Charge the Lance thrust to isolate opponents and finish them off one by one.
- Use your shields while closing gaps to stay protected from incoming fire.
- Block enemy attacks with Complex Shield, launch your Lance thrust, then switch to Shield Blade to finish off the enemy Striker. This combo allows you to deal with foes effectively while also protecting yourself.
- Trigger the Reinforced Complex Shield while immobilized or staggered for increased protection and survivability.
