Although Mecha Break is free and generally caters to a more casual player base, it has an extensive ranking system. The lower ranks can feel like a mixed bag, but the skill ceiling steeply rises as you climb up the ranks. Knowledge of the maps, your preferred Striker, and synergizing with your teammates to find unique opportunities – all these factors change with different ranks.

Your aim is not a major deciding factor for your rank in Mecha Break. Moreover, the ranking system is divided between two game modes, which offer 3v3 and 6v6 options. This article explains the Mecha Break ranking system in detail, along with the individual divisions in each rank group.

Mecha Break has 11 separate ranks, and here is a list of all these from lowest to highest:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grand Master
  • General
  • Champion
  • Legendary
  • Indestructible

Further, each rank group has five tiers, starting from Division 5 and going up till Division 1. In each rank group, you will have to rank up from Division 5 to Division 1 before being promoted to the next group. To put it in simpler terms, there are 55 different ranks in Mecha Break, and rising through these requires a significant grind.

Matches on the lower ranks, till Gold or Platinum can be very chaotic and you might not fully feel the true essence of the competition. However, once you get to Diamond and above, the quality of the matches improves drastically, and you need to be able to hold your own to win and rank up.

Ranked Modes in Mecha Break

Mecha Break has two different ranked modes:

  • Operation Verge: 6v6 mode
  • Ace Arena: 3v3 mode

The 6v6 mode, Operation Verge, is the “easy” approach to the ranking system. It is filled with action and you have scope to experiment with tactics. Even if you are not up to the mark, five other players in your team can generally push through. Operation Verge can be considered to be the “casual” ranked mode in Mecha Break.

Ace Arena, on the other hand, is a 3v3 mode that focuses more on your individual skill. This mode is not available to you from the start and needs you to grind for a bit before you can dip your feet in these waters. You unlock Ace Arena at Achievement Level 16 in Mecha Break.

Besides the game modes, there is another classification you need to keep in mind. When you start your game for either Operation Verge or Ace Arena, make sure you select the Matchmaking Mode format. This is the only ranked format, and you will not get any points to rank up in Mecha Break if you play the Casual format in either game mode.
