All Start Tower Defense X is the sequel to the popular ASTD Roblox Experience. Created by the same developer, the game has attracted a lot of players in the first week of its release. It is a classic TD game with characters inspired by your favorite anime franchises such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, Frieren, and more.

At its core, it is a strategy game and all about min-maxing your party to get the best damage output. For that, you have to have a balanced party with good DPS and support units. This guide will explain some of the mechanics and help you get a strong start.

All Star Tower Defense X Guide

ASTDX has very similar controls to other tower defense games. You have to place towers, in this case, your anime units, and kill the enemies who spawn every wave. Mobs will move through the map in a pre-defined path and get more powerful as you progress. Your objective is to eliminate them all before they reach your base and damage it.

Summoning

To protect your base, you will be placing units on the map. In All Star Tower Defense X, units come in three rarities:

3-Star Units
4-Star Units
5-Star Units

You will be spending Gems or Summoning Tickets to summon the units before you start. Claiming daily rewards and leveling up will grant you gems. You can also get a nice boost of resources at the start by using in-game codes. Check out our Codes article to get free rewards.

Follow these steps to summon units:

Launch All Star Tower Defense X on Roblox.
Click on the Summon icon (resembling a star) at the left of your screen.
Select the banner you want to summon on. Each banner refreshes at different times. Check the unit drop chances on the page to get more insight.
There is a pity system as well, which guarantees a 5-Star unit drop every 100 Summons.

There are several units you can pull by summoning. Early on, you will have to make do with mostly 3-Star and maybe a few 4-Star units. Do not fret, as they are enough to clear around half of the current Stages with ease.

Each unit will have different stats. The main stats you have to take care of while playing are as follows:

Damage: This determines how much damage the unit will do.
Range: The RNG stat is also important. This determines the range in which your unit will attack enemies.
SPD: This is the speed of attack and directly affects the DPS of the unit.
Place Cost: You will have to spend this amount of in-game cash to place the unit on the map.
Elemental: This is the type of attack of the unit. If your unit’s element counters the enemy, it will do double damage. If your enemy counters your element, you will do half the damage.
- Blue counters Red.
- Red counters Orange.
- Orange counters Purple.
- Purple counters Green.
- Green is the counter of Blue.
AOE Type: The AOE type determines the shape of the attack. These can be in a circle, a cone, a line, or a single target.

Unit Traits

Warp to the Robot to reroll traits on your units. The currency you will use is called Trait Burner. Rare Traits can drastically buff your unit’s damage, reduce SPD, and add special moves. The trait you get is a factor of chance, like Summoning. Traits like All Star, Genesis, and Corrupted are super rare and can completely change your unit.
