In this guide, we’ll take a look at the different passing types in College Football 26 and how you can choose them.

When you first start playing College Football 26, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of settings and options. As you go through each one to familiarize yourself with the game’s mechanics, you’ll discover that many of these settings play a crucial role in your performance.
For instance, one of these settings allows you to choose the passing type. This will dictate how you throw the ball to receivers and can determine the overall outcome of matches. Like College Football 25, there are four passing types available for you to use in this year’s iteration as well. In the following guide, we’ll explore the different passing types in College Football 26 and what they do.
All Four Passing Types in College Football 26

The four available passing types in the game are:
- Classic
- Placement
- Revamped
- Placement and Accuracy
By default, you will begin your matches with the Revamped option selected. For most players, this is actually the best setting to stick with, as it’s a great combination of Classic passing and the other types. With Revamped, you’ll be able to control the power of the pass and the arc in which the ball travels to the receiver. The stats of the player making the pass also come into play here. Players with higher stats will make more accurate passes, and vice versa.
The Placement passing type, on the other hand, gives you even more control over your passes. You will see a visual aid when this passing type is selected, which will help you determine the pass trajectory. Even so, the player’s ratings will again determine how successful he is while making the pass.
The Placement and Accuracy setting places all of the control in your hands. So, the player’s ratings will no longer determine the accuracy of their pass. Instead, it will rely completely on your skills in controlling the pass power, trajectory, and arc.
The Classic passing type is the simplest choice out of the four. However, you’ll have less control over the passing direction and power than in the Placement and Accuracy type. Instead, you’ll simply need to hit an input when one of your players grabs the ball to pass it to the next player. The Classic type also doesn’t take a player’s ratings into consideration when determining the quality of the pass they can make.
