Mycopunk throws you into a galaxy distraught by a fungal threat. Fungal entities morphed with robotic parts are now terrorizing the galaxy, and it is up to you and the rest of the New Atlas Hazard Crew to deal with them. The fungi are not ones to negotiate, so it all comes down to gunning them till they perish.

As you go about clearing out hordes upon hordes of the fungal menace, you’ll quickly realize that they outnumber your bullets far too much. The game empowers you with powerful weapons, yes, but the ammo feels fairly limited, especially for the number of enemies you face on average in any given mission. Your ammo will run out before you know it, and you may be left defenseless and surrounded.

Thankfully, there is a way to refill ammo that the game doesn’t really tell you about. The game has a unique way of refilling ammo that rewards aggression. We shall discuss this in detail below.

As stated earlier, running out of ammo is not the end of the world in Mycopunk. There is a way to refill the ammo, and it requires you to double down on the aggression. To refill ammo in the game, you simply need to deal more damage with your other gun.

Say, for instance, your primary weapon is low on ammo and eventually runs out. In such a case, you’ll then have to swap over to your secondary weapon. With the secondary in hand, you’ll then have to dish out as much damage as you can, and dealing damage will then generate ammo for your second weapon.

This unique way of generating ammo allows you to keep pushing forward while also rewarding you for getting kills. We recommend adopting a weapon-switching playstyle to ensure you never run out of ammo. As you go about switching weapons and killing enemies, you’ll constantly keep generating ammo for the other weapon. This will ensure that you’re appropriately stocked up for the late stages of the missions, which can get incredibly hectic with tons of enemies.
