A More Authentic Presentation

Everything you see while playing the game is now closer to the real thing, letting you immerse yourself in the stadium atmosphere.
Streamlined Defense Options
If you vaguely remember ridiculously high-scoring games in College Football 25, you are correct. The defense options in 25 were very limited, and defending in general was very difficult. This led to lots of high-scoring games with poor defense displays from both sides. College Football 26 remedies this issue in multiple ways. Tackles are now physics-based, and this registers player-on-player collision better. You’ve also been empowered with Pass Protection options that finally give you a way to survive blitzes.

One of College Football 26’s major features is the new Coach system. EA has officially licensed the likenesses of over a hundred coaches for College Football 26, and these are the same faces you’ve seen on your screen every season. This allows the teams to be more accurate to their real-life counterparts.
High School Mode is Back
High School mode was one of the staples of the NCAA College Football games but was a glaring omission in the series’ revival last year. Now, with College Football 26, the beloved mode is back once again. This means your journey as a soon-to-be NFL star starts off in high school. You get challenges and objectives to complete over a 5-week season, all of which help you attain a scholarship to college. Substitutions always felt lacklustre in College Football 25, but now have been taken to another level with Formation and Dynamic subs in College Football 26. Formation subs allow you to switch up your team’s formation at any given moment, with the game making substitutions to suit your new formation. This saves the headache of manually switching players, saving you time as well. Dynamic subs, too, are a solid addition that allows you to make subs with the press of a button, without trudging through slow menus.
