In this guide, we’ll take a look at some of the easiest ways to get an A-rank in Ops in Destiny 2 using the Portal modifiers.

With The Edge of Fate, several core gameplay mechanics in Destiny 2 underwent major changes. For instance, players now need to familiarize themselves with the Portal if they want to engage with endgame content. The Portal is a hub where you can choose to play through different endgame activities. You can further increase the challenge and rewards by using a plethora of modifiers for each of these activities. To get the best loot out of these activities, you’ll need to achieve an A-rank.
In the following guide, we’ll explore some of the best modifiers to use in the Portal to achieve an A-rank in Ops in Destiny 2 easily.
A-Rank in Ops in Destiny 2: What Difficulty Modifiers To Choose?

The best modifier to pick if you’re trying to get an A-rank is Equipment Locked Activity. You can find this one under the Player Stakes tab. With this modifier active, you will no longer be able to change your loadouts during the chosen activity. So, you can’t swap between different builds to gain an upper hand during specific enemy encounters.
Make sure you have a build that’s powerful enough to get through whatever crosses your path. This particular modifier will grant you a 5x Challenge Multiplier. Up until the Expert difficulty setting, choosing only this modifier for your activity should be enough to grant you the coveted A-rank.

However, if you’re playing on higher difficulties, such as Master or Grandmaster, you’ll need to choose additional modifiers as well. Make sure that the Equipment Locked Activity is still enabled. Besides that, you can choose from a host of other modifiers. We suggest avoiding modifiers that make it too difficult for you. Keep in mind that Master and Grandmaster difficulty settings are by default far more challenging than Expert, so you’ll have to be careful when picking additional modifiers.
We suggest sticking with modifiers that give +10 Combatant Power, which you might be able to handle. The Minor Negative and Faction Drop modifiers do boost Combatant Power slightly, but they don’t provide a considerable advantage to the enemy. Instead, all you have to watch out for is a trap that drops every time an enemy is killed.
