Supervive’s combat system features five key abilities per hunter. Learn how each of them works to quickly create combos with any character.

Supervive is a top-down battle royale with fast-paced action gameplay and a wide assortment of characters to choose from. Each character, or hunter, has their unique abilities and ultimates that define their playstyles. For newer players, this can make the game seem daunting to explore, encouraging them to master a specific hunter.
However, each character shares some commonalities in their abilities. Understanding these shared attributes between different hunters allows players to pick up new characters with greater ease and discover their favorites among them.
How To Use Abilities in Supervive

Each hunter has five abilities, with the fifth being the ultimate. Listed below alongside the abilities in parentheses are the mouse and key presses required to activate them. You can change these controls from “Keybinds” in Settings.
Ability 1 – Basic Attack (LMB)
The left mouse button activates the primary ability for every hunter. The attack is easily accessible and spammable, as it recharges almost instantly. Constantly use this ability during engagements and chain it into combos.
Ability 2 – Area-of-Effect Spammable (RMB)

The right mouse button activates the second ability, which is an AoE (Area-of-Effect) splash damage attack for most hunters. It has a longer cooldown than Ability 1 but is still fairly spammable. This ability will be your primary form of crowd control and should be used as often as possible alongside basic attacks.
Ability 3 – Mobility (L Shift)
Left Shift activates Ability 3, which is almost always a dash. Different hunters have varying effects that accompany their dash. For example, Bishop’s dash creates an explosion when activated, knocking back nearby opponents. Therefore, Ability 3 should generally be incorporated into combos or used to kite and dodge enemy attacks.
Ability 4 – Utility (Q)
The “Q” key activates Ability 4, which enhances the character’s utility. Ability 4 reflects the hunter’s intended playstyle, allowing them to knock back opponents, heal, grapple, deal splash damage, and more. These abilities are the most varied across hunters and take some getting used to. Ability 4 generally becomes a core part of a character’s combos and has a decent cooldown time.
Ability 5 – Ultimate (R)
Unlocked at level 5, the ultimate ability is activated by pressing the “R” key and has a long cooldown. The attack unleashed by the ultimate is a game-changing move in your arsenal. Learn the correct time and circumstances to use a character’s ultimate ability and provide immense value to your team.
