Explore the different types of windmills in Story of Seasons, their uses, and how you can unlock each of them.
Windmills are a handy piece of equipment in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. With these, you can craft and convert raw materials into profitable products. As you progress and rank up in the game, you will unlock more windmills, which allow you to craft even more valuable items. There are a total of three windmills in this game: the Red Windmill, Blue Windmill, and Yellow Windmill.
In this article, we will explain the three different windmills in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar and how to unlock them.
Windmills in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar
Red Windmill
The Red Windmill is the first one you will unlock during your gameplay in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. However, it is not immediately available and can be unlocked in Spring 6 of Year 1. You will receive a mission request called “Windmill Materials” from Isaac, in which you will need to gather certain items listed below:
- Stone: x10
- Wood: x10
Once you gather the items, give them to Isaac. This will complete the objective and unlock the windmill immediately. The Red Windmill will also unlock a wide range of recipes to help you craft items. You can refer to the link below to learn about all the recipes.

Blue Windmill
The Blue Windmill in Grand Bazaar requires a bit more effort. To unlock it, you must reach Bazaar Rank 3. After this, Isaac will give you the mission request ‘Seen Anything Lying Around.‘ For this mission, you need to search for a lost tool of his, which he requires to fix the windmill.
To find this tool, head to the Bazaar area and look near a bench. Since there are not many benches, it is easy to spot. Once you reach the bench, you will see a glowing item on the left side of it. Pick it up and bring it back to Isaac.
Once he repairs the Blue Windmill, it will be ready for immediate use. Along with this, you will unlock a list of new and upgraded recipes for higher profit yields. Refer to the article below for more details.

Yellow Windmill
The Yellow Windmill is the last one you will unlock in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. To obtain it, you must complete another mission request from Isaac. This time, you won’t need to gather new items but instead make use of your existing windmills.
The mission request ‘Working Windmills’ from Isaac will unlock once you reach Bazaar Rank 4. For this, you need to craft a total of 100 items using your windmills. After completing this task, Isaac will repair the third and final Yellow Windmill, making it available for use immediately. You will also gain access to even more recipes to craft.
