In this guide, we shall go over the Berry Picking quest in Hollow Knight Silksong, one of the first quests in the game.
Hollow Knight Silksong has a ton of side quests for you to complete, and the Berry Picking quest is the first one you unlock in the game. As you explore the Mosslands, you come across a strange NPC brewing a green dish. In typical Hollow Knight NPC fashion, he blurts out some ominous gibberish, demanding that you help him collect fruits—berries to be specific.
The Berry Picking quest is fairly easy if you know where to look, but that’s easier said than done. The maps in Silksong are massive, and finding three berries in the multilayered Mosslands is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. If you’re stuck on this quest, this guide is for you.
How To Start Berry Picking Quest in Hollow Knight Silksong
You acquire the Berry Picking quest by talking to the Moss Druid NPC in Mosshome. If you don’t know where this is, you need to start off in the Marrow. From here, head right from the starting bench until you see pools of lava and flying bees. Then, head up and toward the left, which will eventually lead you to Shakra.
Once you’re done talking to Shakra, walk past her and head up to reach Mosshome. Here, go left until you reach a path splitting up and down. Head up to reach a new area. In this new area, go right and past the musical instrument. Following this path will lead you to the Silkspear.
After you have the Silkspear, head right and drop to the lower floor. Break through the webs here using your Silkspear and follow the green mist. This will lead you to a Moss Druid. Talk to the Moss Druid to acquire the Berry Picking quest.

All Mossberry Locations in Hollow Knight Silksong
First Mossberry
You can find your first Mossberry right after acquiring the quest. Exit the Moss Druid’s room and drop down the pit in front of you. As soon as you drop down, you will see a path heading left. Ignore this and turn right instead until you reach a dead end. Now, go all the way to the right and attack the wall. The wall will give way, revealing a secret path. Enter the next room, and you’ll find a glowing bee flying around. Kill this bee with three hits. It will then drop a Mossberry, which you can collect.

Second Mossberry
You’ll find the second Mossberry in the very first area. After you spawn near your cage, head left all the way until you reach a body of water. From here, go up and past the flying enemy. You’ll come across a split path, with one way going up and the other down. Take the path leading up to find the second Mossberry.
Third Mossberry
You’ll find the third Mossberry shortly after the second one once you enter the dark stage with spikes. All you have to do is climb all the way up. You’ll find a Mossberry here, and the trick to getting it is POGO. You’ll have to hop into the air and vault over the enemy using the downward attack. The POGO is at a 45-degree angle, so this may take a few tries.

What To Do With Mosberries in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Once you have collected the three Mossberries, head back to the Moss Druid in Mosshome. Moss Druid will be very happy that you granted his wish, calling you his “companion in ordeal.” To express his gratitude, the NPC will hand you the Druid’s Eye amulet. This crest allows you to generate silk by acquiring the green elixir. This is one of the better early-game crests to have and is absolutely worth your time.
