The Surgeon’s Key is an important key item in Hollow Knight Silksong you need to access a new area and a hidden boss.
If you want to explore all the areas of Hollow Knight Silksong, you will need to meet different requirements for most of them. Some are usually locked behind a certain Ancestral Art, while others require a specific item to enter.
A past example of this is the Wormways, which needed a Simple Key to access. However, even then, you could find another way to enter that area. The Surgeon’s Key, on the other hand, has no replacement.
How To Get the Surgeon’s Key in Hollow Knight Silksong
You get this item by entering Whiteward. Do note that you will need As soon as you enter this area, follow the given instructions:
- Go up, and take the first right.
- Go further up until you reach an intersection.
- Here, you need to turn left and go ahead. If your path gets blocked by a wall, then attack it a bit before it gives way.
- Keep walking forward, and you will eventually reach the end.
At the end of the path, you will notice a hook for your Clawline Ancestral Art. Use the ability once and do not jump off. Hornet’s weight will drag the hook down and release the gate above you.
A body will fall from this opening. You can then let go of the ring and inspect the corpse. This is where you will acquire the Surgeon’s Key.
How To Use the Surgeon’s Key in Hollow Knight Silksong
You can use this unique key within the same region of Whiteward. It is required to open the chamber that leads to the Unravelled boss fight. The chamber is restricted by an Ornate Lock, which can only be opened with the Surgeon’s Key. Once unlocked, jump into the chamber and initiate the fight.
Progressing past this boss will also reward you with a Silk Heart. Make sure to get the Surgeon’s Key early in your run. That was everything about the Surgeon’s Key in Hollow Knight Silksong.
