Apple iPhone 17 Series: Everything You Need To Know
There are four models in the iPhone 17 series: iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Below, you will find everything you need to know about them, including their specs:
iPhone 17

The iPhone 17 is the base model, which is usually neglected and does not get the latest upgrades, but that changed this time. Apple has equipped it with 120Hz ProMotion, which is the same one from its Pro model. The display can also get as bright as 3,000 nits under direct sunlight, which is also a first for the base iPhone 17 model.
Apple covered both the display and the rear glass with Ceramic Shield 2 for protection against scratches and shattering. This iPhone is also equipped with the new Apple A19 chipset, which delivers better CPU and GPU performance along with other enhancements. This chipset also consumes less battery, so Apple claims the iPhone 17 will last eight hours more than the previous iPhone.
Both the rear and selfie cameras received big upgrades this year, and they should deliver a decent boost in both detail levels and night photography performance. The wired charging speed has also been increased so that you can charge the new iPhone to 50% in just 20 minutes.
iPhone Air

The iPhone Air is a new iPhone model, which replaced the Plus variant. It belongs to the same iPhone 17 series but doesn’t sport the 17 number in its moniker. The highlight of the iPhone Air is its incredibly thin and light body. In fact, it is the thinnest iPhone to date.
It sports a large 6.5-inch display with the same 120Hz refresh rate. However, it sports a faster Apple A19 Pro chipset, which will deliver even better performance. Despite the thin body, Apple managed to deliver a full-day battery life.

It not only allows for better thermal management but also makes the phone a lot more rigid. There’s also a large vapor chamber, which will keep the temps down during long gaming sessions. The screen size of both the Pro and Pro Max models has increased.
The camera of iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max also received huge upgrades in the camera department. All three sensors have a 48MP camera this time, allowing for a much better performance and seamless transition from one camera to the other. Also, the iPhone 17 Pro & Pro Max e-SIM only variants are equipped with bigger batteries. Therefore, they will deliver better battery life.
