Type Soul players looking to get their True Modes have to complete the Library Puzzle first. The Library is the last stage in Hell, and you have to do specific tasks to complete the puzzle. On top of progressing your True Bankai, Tercera Etapa, or Sklaverei, completing the puzzle also gives you access to Crafting.
This guide will give you a step-by-step process for completing the Library Puzzle in Type Soul.

Where Is the Library?
You reach the Library stage after exiting The Maze. Barring Purgatory, it is the last stage in Hell that you can reach by beating the Hiragana and other bosses from Ring 1, Ring 2, and Ring 3. The Library is a peaceful place, but you first have to complete a puzzle using the five Book Fragments you get as rewards from fighting the bosses in Hell. Only then can you unlock Crafting and unlock the last stage of getting True Mode.

Library Puzzle: Step-By-Step Solution
To solve the puzzle, you have to open five different books in different places of the Library and use the five Book Fragments you get from fighting the Hell Bosses. The order is important:
- Locate the first book titled Faith in Self behind the Spiral Staircase and press E to interact. Choose the “I Believe In My Fist” fragment. Press the M1 button afterward and slot the book into the stone.
- The second book, titled Power Unmatched, is on the floating platforms with green crystals. Choose the “My Power Is Absolute” prompt and slot the book in.
- Now go up the Spiral Staircase and find the Story of the King book. Select “I Worship The King,” and do not forget to slot the book into the stone.
- Go down and locate the book titled One with the Blade beside the giant hole. Put in the fragment that says “The Blade Is Me” before slotting the book in.
- The last book, Strength of the Soul, is in the hallway on the way to the spiral stairs to the right. Use the remaining fragment, “My Soul Never Wavers,” in the book and slot it in.
Do not forget to slot in the books in the correct order after choosing the Book Fragments. Any mistake will reset the whole thing. If done correctly, the puzzle will be solved, and you will be one step closer to getting your True mode. You get the Library Gate Skill as well.
