Method 1: Add Vanguard to Antivirus Exception

You can try disabling your antivirus software to see if it fixes the problem. However, not having protection is not recommended, especially if you are browsing the internet. Instead, you can add Vanguard as an exception so it can bypass the antivirus.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can do it:

  • Press the Windows (WIN) key and search for “Virus and Threat Protection.” This will open up Windows Defender.
  • Scroll down and click the “Manage Settings” option
  • Scroll down again and head to the Exclusion section.
  • Click the “Add or remove exclusions”
  • In the Exclusions list, click the “Add Exclusions” and choose the Folder option.
  • Add the folder where the Riot Games launcher or 2XKO is.
  • For good measure, restart your PC.

Check if the game works after a fresh restart. If it doesn’t, try the next fix below.

Method 2: Do a Clean Boot on Windows PC

This next fix is a bit more complicated. It requires you to do a clean boot on your PC. This process will disable applications that are not required for Windows to function. Doing this will help you detect which application is causing the 2XKO System Error.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can do it:

  • Press  Windows Key (WIN) + R
  • Type “msconfig” and press Enter.
  • On the System Configuration window, click the Services tab.
  • Check the “Hide all Microsoft services” option.
  • Select the “Disable all” option after you hide all the important services to run Windows.
  • Just to make sure, try to restart your PC before opening the game.

If one of the services is causing the issue, disabling it will allow Vanguard to run and launch the game. You can slowly re-enable the services you want and see which one is in conflict with the anti-cheat software.
