How to Get Wax in Enshrouded
You can collect Wax immediately in Enshrouded, because the beehives it comes from can be found within the first regional area of Springlands. Additionally, you’ll continue to find them throughout the other regions of the world. Wax is harvested from beehives found in trees. First you’ll need to equip a bow. Then, you can use the most basic Wooden Arrows to shoot them down from a distance. Wooden arrows are very simple to craft from Twigs you can harvest from bushes all over.
Early on in Enshrouded there won’t be one single location where you can repeatedly farm beehives for wax. Rather, keep an eye out as you explore the world. You’ll want to scan the trees for the pale, whitish cone hanging from the branches. Typically, bee hives are most often found on the smaller, skinnier trees, rather than the larges ones which tower above you.
How to Farm Wax in Enshrouded
Later on in Enshrouded you can farm Wax by crafting beehives with the Farmer. The Farmer will have a series of quests for you which will unlock new crafting stations and recipes. After you’ve completed her previous quests, upgrade your Flame Alter to Level 5. You will now have access to the Kindlewates region, and the Farmer will give you the quest called ‘A Beehive Smoker’.
Next, you will be sent out to the Kindlewastes to find an implement which can then be used to craft Beehives. Here are all of the materials you will need to craft a Beehive:
- 4 Wood Logs
- 20 Straw
- 4 Lump of Clay
Once you’ve crafted your first beehive and placed it down inside your protected base you can then use it to craft either honey or wax. In order to craft Wax in Enshrouded you will need:
- 3 Plant Fiber
- 1 Water
What is Wax, and what is it used for?
In Enshrouded you can use Wax to create torches and candles. The basic wax torches are very useful to carry with you as you explore the world. They’re obviously helpful while you’re finding your way through the foggy Shroud areas. Furthermore, they can also be very useful in the regular overland world at night, where certain areas can get very dark.
To craft a Wax Torch in Enshrouded you will need:
- 1 Twig
- 1 Torn Cloth
- 1 Resin
- 1 Wax
Additionally, you can use Wax to craft Candles. These basic candles can be placed inside your shelter for small amounts of illumination. Moreover, you will often need candles to craft upgraded light fixtures such as Candleholder, Floor Candleholder, and Chandeliers. To craft a candle in Enshrouded you will need:
- 1 String
- 1 Wax
