Ambusher is a shortsword that grants a bonus on Initiative rolls and you can find it in early Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3).

In Baldur’s Gate 3 the Ambusher is a shortsword that grants you bonus on Initiative and deals extra Necrotic damage under certain conditions. The main perk is called Sentinel Weapon and it will give the user a +1 bonus to Initiative rolls, as well as Advantage on all Perception ability checks. This means that your character will be able to take their turn earlier in combat. Furthermore, they’ll have a much higher chance of noticing interesting or hidden things while you’re exploring.
Finally, the Ambusher’s Streak perk will allow you to deal an additional 1-6 points of Necrotic damage. However, this will only happen when you successfully attack a creature that hasn’t taken it’s turn in combat yet. Therefore, this particular bonus will really only come into play in the early first rounds of battle.

How to Get Ambusher in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get the Ambusher in Baldur’s Gate 3 you will need to find the merchant Exxvikyap in The Rivington General store. This location is easy to find once you enter the Rivington area at the start of Act 3. All you need to do is head straight north from the Rivington way point. The Rivington General Store will be on the right hand side of the street.
Inside is the Brass Dragonborn named Exxvikyap, who will be incredibly excited to sell you any of her wares. The Ambusher shortsword can be purchased for the reasonable price of 228 gold.
