Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 will unfortunately not be available on Xbox Game Pass upon release.
With the release of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 inching closer, players have a lot of questions. Xbox owners are eager to know if they can expect the title on Game Pass. Unfortunately for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, the game will not be part of the Game Pass at launch.
Developer confirms Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 will not be part of Xbox Game Pass at launch
Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2, the direct sequel to the 2011 title, is set to offer an explosive adventure to fans. The game will launch on both Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, Saber Interactive has been pretty clear about the title not being available on Game Pass.
This does not come as a surprise. The developer is likely looking to keep Space Marine 2 away from any subscription models, at least for the time being. Since Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 is such a highly anticipated title, it is likely to make great sales at launch.
If the game were to be featured on Xbox Game Pass at launch, that would heavily impact the initial sales as Game Pass owners would have essentially got access to the game for free.
May Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 Come to Xbox Game Pass in the Future?
For now, it seems like Space Marine 2 will be its own thing, away from the Xbox subscription model. But what about the future? Well, there is a good chance of the game coming to Game Pass after some time. Other Warhammer games like Boltgun and Darktide are already part of Xbox’s subscription. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
