Find out how you can permanently get and use the mighty Sun Wukong Stance in Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong’s approach to combat heavily leans on the Stances, which let you explore different fighting styles with the Staff. You can create your own fighting style by switching stances in between to create unique combos.
Aside from the three main stances, there is a fourth Sun Wukong stance in Black Myth: Wukong. You will normally be able to use it only in Chapter 6 after collecting all of Wukong’s four armor pieces and the Jingubang staff.
Moreover, you will be able to use it normally in other chapters. However, unlocking it will not be an easy task, and you’ll need to complete the game at least three times to get it. Here’s how you can get the fourth secret Wukong stance.
What is the Fourth Sun Wukong Stance in Black Myth: Wukong?
The Sun Wukong stance is a unique form wherein you use combos that are essentially a combination of all three existing stances. However, you don’t get to manually change to this stance. In Chapter 6, after you collect the entirety of Wukong’s set, this stance is automatically unlocked, and you stay in this form till you beat the Stone Monkey.
This stance is exceptionally powerful, as it embodies the true extent of Sun Wukong when he was known as “The Victorious Fighting Buddha.”
How to Unlock the Sun Wukong Stance in Black Myth: Wukong?
To unlock and get the fourth Sun Wukong Stance in Black Myth: Wukong, you need to get the true ending of the game three times. Essentially, you can get the Wukong Stance in NG++++ (or NG+4) run only.
The fourth Sun Wukong stance is related to the relics. When you defeat any major boss, you can unlock one out of three special effects for each relic. With each New Game+, another stat of the relic becomes available. Basically, you need to unlock all three effects of all six relics to unlock the Sun Wukong stance in Black Myth: Wukong.
The special sixth Mind relic is only available if you complete the true ending of the game. Complete the entire game, unlock all the secret areas, unlock Mount Mei and defeat Erlang, and then defeat the Great Sage in the final Chapter 6. Complete this entire process three times, starting an NG+ after each run and carrying forward the stats.
How to Use the Wukong Stance
On your fourth NG+ run, you will be able to use the fourth Sun Wukong stance. Once you have four focus points, using a charged heavy attack will automatically switch you to the Wukong stance. Upon activation, it will remain available for one minute.
You can collect four focus points and use the charged heavy attack to activate it again for one minute hereafter.
