Fanum is a 27-year-old Twitch streamer from New York known for coining the iconic term “Fanum Tax.”
Roberto Gonzalez, better known by his online alias “Fanum,” is a Twitch streamer, YouTuber, and vlogger from The Bronx, New York. Born on August 22, 1997, the content creator is well-known for his Just Chatting, IRL, and gaming content.
Since joining Twitch in November 2016, Fanum has amassed 2,606,515 followers on his channel. As of this writing, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been his most-streamed game, having racked up over 1,707 hours of playtime. In addition, he is a basketball enthusiast and has broadcasted the NBA 2K series for hundreds of hours.
The AMP (Any Means Possible) member also has a sizable following on YouTube (@FanumLive), with 2.92 million subscribers. His content on the Google-owned platform is diverse, including gaming, mukbang, vlogs, reactions, and collaborations with other notable internet personalities.
The Twitch Streamer Who Coined “Fanum Tax”
Fanum is the creator of the internet term, Fanum Tax. For those unaware, it is defined as “stealing” or sharing food with friends. Roberto began doing this with his housemates at the AMP House in Atlanta, Georgia, and it became a recurring joke. Several videos of the streamer engaging in this activity have gone viral on social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and X.
However, Fanum Tax also resulted in a controversy between AMP members, as Roberto and Din “Agent 00” got into a physical altercation. In July 2023, the 27-year-old imposed a “100% Fanum Tax” on Agent 00, causing the Twitch streamers to clash.

While Agent 00 claimed that the fight resulted from a “meme gone wrong”:
“This was a meme gone wrong and I was upset about the tax. He was upset that I entered his room. I was upset that he took my fridge and he was upset I woke him up. He… could’ve – and I guarantee, would’ve probably swung if I didn’t know.”
Roberto believed that his altercation with Agent 00 erupted because “ego and pride had got in the way”:
“I think the ego and pride had got in the way right there. And I think that, like, (he) kind of realized that I didn’t really care that he was taking his fridge back. Because he’s supposed to do that. You feel me?”
Fanum’s Heart Attack Scare
In June 2024, Roberto left the online community concerned by revealing that he had a heart attack scare. In an X post, the content creator stated that he thought he was “outta here” after the incident.

During an eventual livestream, the New Yorker elaborated on a sensation he felt on his chest while eating oatmeal, saying:
“I take a bite of oatmeal, chat… and it felt like an elephant came and just sat on my chest. Out of nowhere! I’m like, ‘What the f**k, bro?!’ Gang, after that, it was like somebody was trying to grab my heart and pull it out.”
Furthermore, Fanum stated that he believed he had “long heartburn,” with a pain level of “10 out of 10.”
