Goku and the gang are back for more adventures in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The latest addition to the gaming franchise doesn’t bring anything new to the story aspect of things but will leave you baffled by the number of choices it offers.

No. We don’t get to choose our own dialogues during heated confrontations, but the game still spoils us with a lot of options when it comes to its vast roster and depth of combat. Bandai Namco didn’t want the DB universe fans to fight the same battle over and over again. So, they spiced things up by adding a wide range of abilities to keep you engaged.

It may sound unusual, but playing as the same 180+ characters on the roster could get a little monotonous for some people out there. No worries, the 47 abilities that the developers added will help keep things fresh as you experiment to find the set that suits you best.

What Are the Abilities That Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Showcases?

The abilities that the developers have added don’t flip the table on opponents. Rather, they may be able to enhance your combat experience, especially if you are facing a fighting game veteran. So, if you don’t wish to receive that “GG” after losing another PvP match, dive right into the list.

  • Ki Control – As the name suggests, the character will use Ki more efficiently for Dragon Dashes.
  • Combo Master – Are you a pro at hitting consecutive attacks? Your opponent will now receive bonus damage for the same.
  • Combo King – The same as Combo Master, but most likely an enhanced version of it.
  • Active Heart – Even Saiyans have to maintain their cardio fitness. This ability is a shortcut for Ki to recover quickly after a Rush Attack.
  • Ready for Anything – Are Team Battles your strong suit? Ki recovery will increase on standby if you are with your mates.
  • Rising Tension – Don’t worry if you don’t want the recovery to be team-specific. This ability has got you covered.
  • Z-Burst Dash Master – For fans who love executing for Z-Burst Dashes to close the distance, this ability will let you use your Ki more efficiently and without using a lot of it.
  • Indomitable Fighting Spirit – If you thought Rush Attacks were overpowered, this ability will let you recover your Ki faster after using one.
  • Energy Saver – Reduces Ki required for Rush Ki Blasts and Smash Ki Blasts
  • Super Transformation – The skill count required reduces while attempting Fusions and Transformations
  • High-Speed Movement Master – For those who wish to horde on their Sparking, use this ability to save it during high-speed movements.
  • Super Movement Master – High-speed movements require even less Sparking.
  • Style Of The Strong – Sparking Mode will last longer than its default mode.
  • Crisis Avoided – Short Dashes require less Ki
  • Exquisite Skill – This one offers good offense and defense within the same ability. Recovery time will reduce when stunned or restrained while the opponent’s recovery period when stunned or restrained will increase.
  • Sparking! Plus – Sparking! Mode lasts longer. Reduces defense. A little compromise might be a good bargain for you.
  • Latent Power Unleashed 1 – Starts battle with an extra Ki gauge.
  • Latent Power Unleashed 2 – Starts battle with two extra Ki gauges.
  • Performer – Emotes will no longer just be cosmetic. This ability will increase your Blast Attack power temporarily after emoting.
  • Blast Attack Boost 1 – Slightly increases Blast and Ultimate Blast attack power.
  • Rush Attack Boost 1 – Slightly increases Rush Attack power.
  • Smash Attack Boost 1 – Slightly increases Smash Attack and Chain Attack power.
  • Miracle Master – Ever wished to dodge attacks automatically when downed? Well, now you can. (Excluding Ki Blasts)
  • Master Strike – Increases Rush Attack, Smash Attack, and Rush Chain attack power, but there’s a catch to it. Players will have to make do with a reduced maximum health.
  • Master Throw – If you are getting the hang of throw moves, you might want to include this ability to increase the power of your throws.
  • Speed Up – Reduces Ki needed for Short Dashes.
  • Mind Breaker – Increases Ki damage dealt after successfully using Guard Clash.
  • Warming Up – Increases health recovered while on standby in Team Battles.
  • Battle Control – Switch gauge will see an improved recovery during Team Battles if you enhance your experience with this one.
  • Master Roshi Training – With the wisdom of Goku’s wise old trainer, slightly increase your character’s maximum health.
  • Dragon Rush – More on the offensive side, you may want to increase your ability to stun opponents while they use a Rush Attack.
  • Dende’s Healing Ability – Health during fights becomes crucial for winning. Select this ability and it will gradually recover during battle after some time passes.
  • Dragon Assault – Reduces Ki needed for Vanishing Assaults.
