The Treebeast Alento in Metaphor ReFantazio has a massive health bar, that is thankfully, balanced by an exploitable weakness.

Metaphor ReFantazio is filled with activities to do, quests to take on, and dungeons to raid and explore. Player freedom and exploration are at the heart of the JRPG, but by no means is it a walk in the park. The game routinely throws difficult enemies at you, and this is without counting the bosses, which pose as an insurmountable roadblock if you do not have a sound strategy at your disposal. To present this much-needed strategy, we bring you the Treebeast Alento Boss Guide. The boss is slow, gigantic, and hits like a tank, so we shall show you how to prepare for it appropriately.

The Treebeast Alento boss guide will go over the boss itself, his moveset, his weaknesses as well as the rewards for beating him.

All About Treebeast Alento Boss in Metaphor ReFantazio

As you make your way to the Dragon Temple to secure Drakodios and save priestess Eupha, a large tree will stand in your way at the entrance to the temple. This tree, which suspiciously radiates Magla, is the Treebeast Alento lying dormant. Pouring the potion of blight on its roots awakens the tree and kicks off the boss fight.

Preparation for Treebeast Alento in Metaphor ReFantazio

The Treebeast Alento, while humongous, falls quickly if you resort to fire. Hence, you must make it a priority to have a setup that has many fire attacks in its arsenal. The Wizard Archetype, for instance, is the ideal pick as it deals heavy fire damage and will help you deal with the beast swiftly.

As stated earlier, Fire is your key to victory in this fight. Therefore, pick the Protagonist with the Wizard Archetype. Hulkenburg will be your next line of attack with the General, while Junah with the Masked Dancer can be used to the same effect. Lastly, we will use Strohl with the Pugilist to deal physical damage.

With several Archetypes to pick from, we will be focusing our attention on those that deal moderate to high fire damage. Picks like the Wizard with the Botra skill or the General with Matarukaja are your key to victory. The Masked Dancer and the Infernal Vortex will also help you stand your ground against the boss.

Metaphor ReFantazio Treebeast Alento Battle Strategy

The Treebeast is a Level 40 giant boss with a ton of HP. Standard attacks won’t do the trick and you will have to exploit his weakness to fire to win the fight. You will have to win the fight swiftly, too, as the boss lets out the Soul Cry later in the fight, which can turn the battle on its head.

The Soul Cry grants the beast two additional turns that will let him heal and boost his attacks. This can be frustrating to deal with noting the boss’ already massive health bar. So, the beast healing will pretty much bring you back to square one so we want to avoid that.

Use fire attacks and chip away at Treebeast Alento’s HP to obtain victory.

Reap the Rewards

Beating the boss grants you the following:

  • 2250 EXP
  • 1250 MAG
  • 2500 Money
  • A Sun White Mask
  • Floral Semaphore.

Conclusion

The Treebeast Alento can be intimidating at first glance but is easy to deal with if you regularly exploit its weakness to fire. Use fire attacks and the recommended Archetypes to deal large chunks of damage and win the fight. Make sure to end the fight quickly to avoid letting the beast heal itself.
