YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” was put in the spotlight recently following some serious allegations that surfaced against Ava Kris Tyson (formerly Chris Tyson), a former member of Jimmy’s crew and a long-time friend. For context, in July 2024, there were a couple of YouTube videos and online reports suggesting that Tyson had engaged in inappropriate conversation with a then-minor in a Discord server. Additionally, there were reports of Tyson interacting with/promoting Shadman’s artwork, who is known for ‘Lolicon.’ Following this, MrBeast issued a statement stating that Tyson was removed from his team.
The YouTube star stated that he even hired an “independent” investigator to look into the matter:
“Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations of Ava Tyson’s behavior online and I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts. During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts.”
He added:
“That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions. I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings.”

The day before MrBeast announced that Ava Kris Tyson had been removed from the company, she shared a series of updates presenting her side of the story. Interestingly, in her post, she revealed that the decision to part ways had been “mutual.” She wrote:
“I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent. Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health.”

She also posted additional tweets explaining her situation, denying the grooming allegations. Tyson referenced @LavaGS, one of the reported victims, stating that even the alleged victim had dismissed the accusations. Although, it’s worth noting that LavaGS later recanted those statements. She wrote:

Tyson did offer an apology for her questionable behavior but emphasized that it was part of an edgy joke. The former MrBeast employee acknowledged that she now understands such jokes are not acceptable. Tyson wrote:

Tyson faced a series of allegations, including accusations of supporting CP and engaging in inappropriate conversations with minors. For instance, YouTubers like Acheeto and Adrox released videos criticizing Tyson. One specific claim involved her association with lolicon artwork.
Another individual named Jess, Tyson’s former executive assistant, made further allegations, claiming that Tyson had made inappropriate demands, such as asking her to m*sturbate in front of her. Jess also alleged that Tyson would undress in her presence and request or*l sex.
One of the alleged victims, @LavaGS, initially came forward to dismiss any grooming allegations against Tyson. However, he later changed his stance and described the interaction as “wrong.”
“This was 5 or 6 years ago and I thought I had a good memory of situation but I was wrong. After reading the chat logs, this stuff was inappropriate and wrong. I spoke based on my memory of the situation and I still do not remember these conversations but they definitely happened.”
