YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” is currently dating Thea Booysen, a South African YouTuber and Twitch streamer.
YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, aka “MrBeast,” is one of the most popular faces in the online community. He has a subscriber count of over 323 million, so fans naturally keep an eye on all aspects of his life – including his personal life. While he mostly keeps things private, one thing that he has talked about is his relationship with his girlfriend, Thea Booysen. The two met at a club in South Africa in 2022 and started dating soon after. Jimmy had halted there on his way to filming a new video in Antarctica.
For those unfamiliar with Booysen, she is a 26-year-old content creator and has degrees in psychology and law. She has a YouTube channel (TheaBeasty) with over 38K subscribers and a Twitch channel of the same name with 29.9K followers. Booysen has an affinity towards card games such as Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Hearthstone. Additionally, she uploads vlogs and life update videos.
How Did MrBeast Meet Thea Booysen?
Both MrBeast and Thea Booysen are typically reserved about their private lives, but she did share how she met the YouTube star during an episode of Joshua Rubin’s Wide Awake podcast. She explained that MrBeast had halted in South Africa (on his way to Antarctica) for a new filming project. She added:
“Jimmy (MrBeast) was coming down to South Africa with Logan Paul, and Casey Neistat. They had a video they wanted to film in Antarctica and everybody got COVID, so they had to cancel the video and stay in South Africa a little bit longer.”
Booysen further explained that it was fellow YouTuber Logan Paul who had urged Jimmy to go to a club with him. This is where the two (Thea and Jimmy) first met. In the club, she explained, one of her friends met him and arranged the meeting. She continued:
“I really wanted to meet him in person and see. So, I got there and he was super nice, very down to earth and he started asking me a lot of questions. Little did I know he was going off a list because he was looking for a new girlfriend potentially and he had this whole list.”

Have Thea Booysen and MrBeast Appeared in Each Other’s Videos?
MrBeast and Thea Booysen generally avoid appearing in each other’s videos. However, there have been a few occasions when Booysen stepped in to fill a spot in MrBeast’s content.
Thea Booysen has appeared twice on MrBeast’s channel. Her first appearance was in 100 Boys Vs 100 Girls For $500,000, uploaded in July 2022, and her second was in $1 Vs $100,000,000 Car!, uploaded in September 2023.
Jimmy has also made a few appearances on Booysen’s YouTube channel. In fact, her most-viewed video, titled MrBeast Plays Gwent With Beasty!, was uploaded in March 2022 and has garnered over 133,000 views.
