Best Archetypes for the Protagonist Explored
1. The Prince Archetype

Prince is the final Archetype in the game if you look at all the progression in canon chronology. Players can only obtain it after 09/24 during story events. So, you don’t have to worry about working a little extra for it or missing it altogether. To make it even more special, only our beloved Protagonist can have access to it. You will get all the Synthesis skills and be able to cast skills with great strength. Ally support is also a trait of this Archetype.
2. Warlock Archetype

The Mage lineage’s Warlock Archetype is the last form you can rank up the Archetype to. You will need a Rank 20 Wizard class, and your Assassin must be at least Rank 10. Moreover, you should have Rank 8 with Gallica, which progresses through the story only. This is not like Prince, however. You can skip Warlock if magic is not your jam.
3. Martial Artist Archetype

The Brawler Archetype evolves into the Martial Artist Archtype, which is one of the best for the Protagonist. It is not only useful for the character itself but also for the entire party. Since there will be members that deal Pierce and Slash damage, having someone deal Strike damage will help with variety. Reach Bond 8 with Catherina and rank up your Pugilist to Rank 20 to proceed with this upgrade.
4. Soul Hacker Archetype

Soul Hacker is the elite Archetype of the Seeker lineage. The Protagonist sets out on his journey with only this class. You have access to some magic as well as physical attacks. Soul Hacker enhances both of these mechanics. While this may look like the best of both worlds, players will find it difficult to invest in both stats at the same time. So, we always suggest you take one path and stick to it. Reach Rank 20 with the Magic Seeker and level up More’s bond to Rank 7 to unlock this Archetype.
5. Elemental Master Archetype

This is right behind Warlock in the Mage lineage. As the Elemental Master, the character has access to a wide variety of magic skills. This is especially useful when exploiting an enemy’s weakness. If you don’t have access to the Warlock yet, go for Elemental Master to make some of your battles easier. Once Gallica’s bond is at Rank 8, level up your Wizard to Rank 20, and you will have this one available to use after spending a good amount of MAG.
