Despite the long list of pivotal items, no item holds more importance than the Rainbow Drop. This is a key item that allows you to access Zoma’s Citadel, where the final challenge of the game awaits. However, the journey to acquire the Rainbow Drop can be quite extensive. This is because you need to locate three different items to acquire this unique relic.

In this article, we will break down what you need to do to add the Rainbow Drop to your inventory and progress to the conclusion of Dragon Quest 3 Remake.

What Do You Need To Make Rainbow Drop in Dragon Quest 3 Remake?

Unlike most items in the game, the Rainbow Drop is not found as loot in a chest. Instead, you need to acquire the materials for the Rainbow Drop and then make it yourself. The three ingredients required to create the Rainbow Drop are:

Sunstone

The Sunstone is the easiest to obtain among the three items you need to create the Rainbow Drop. To find the Sunstone, talk to Robbin’ ‘Ood, who is locked in a cell on the second floor of the church in Tantegel. He will inform you that he has hidden the item in the castle dining room. After you speak with the king, you can make your way to the dining room using the eastern side stairs. The dining room is on the castle’s second floor. You can locate the treasure chest with the Sunstone in the northwestern corner of the room, close to a piece of armor.

Staff of Rain

The second item on the list of ingredients is the Staff of Rain. This is relatively simple to get your hands on, as you need to just speak with the Servan of Rubiss. For this, you need to travel to the southern region of Alefgard and visit the Shrine of the Spirit. This shrine is surrounded by toxic purple sludge that can hurt your party. To avoid taking damage, you can cast the Safe Passage spell that is available to Priest and Sage classes. You can then head to the second floor, where you will find the Servan of Rubiss.

Sacred Amulet

The last item on the list is the Sacred Amulet. This is the most challenging item to acquire since it involves completing a dungeon. You need to travel to the Tower of Rubiss, which is located on the northern side of the map. Before you enter the dungeon, get the Faerie Flute to awaken the sleeping goddess. This item can be found by visiting the Kol village on the northeastern side of the map. You then need to head to the Hotspring and check out a glinting patch of dirt near the water.

Once you have the flute, you can get the last material for the Rainbow Drop. However, it is important to remember that you need to defeat the Soul of Baramos before you can awaken the goddess.

After acquiring all of these items, you can head to the Sanctum in the southeastern region and combine the three materials. This will lead to the priest giving you the Rainbow Drop in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
