Luma Island sees you exploring a vast variety of locations, with some locked behind certain tasks that you need to complete to access them. The Mountain is one of the regions in the game that requires you to fix a cable car before you can access it. To fix this cable car, however, you need to find a cable and a cogwheel. The game does not tell you where to find these items, leaving countless players lost and confused. If you happen to be one of these players, we’ve got your back.
In this guide, we shall go over where to find the cable and cogwheel in Luma Island.
Where to Find the Cable and the Cogwheel
As you cruise through the various locations in Luma Island, you will be enticed by the allure of the Mountains. As you look into the ways of reaching the Mountains, you will learn that the region can only be accessed through a cable car, which happens to be broken down. To fix this, you need a cable and a cogwheel.
Cable
The cable is not hidden in a cave, under a rock, or behind some nook or cranny. Instead, it can simply be purchased from the store in the center of the Town. However, the store has been damaged by an earthquake and needs to be repaired before it opens up shop. You will have to repair the store by two levels to purchase the cable. You will require the following items to do so:
- Store Repair #1: 5x Forest Planks and 5x Fiber.
- Store Repair #2: 15x Forest Stone Blocks, 5x Forest Planks, 5x Iron Bar, and 25x Glass.
Repair the store twice and purchase the cable for 20,000 coins.
Cogwheel
You cannot purchase the Cogwheel and instead must find it through exploration. Head into the Forest and take the path diverging to the right and go straight. Take a left at the next junction and a right on the junction after that till you reach a branch connecting two roads. Hop over the branch, cross the path, and continue on straight till you reach the shore. You will see a small island on the right. Cross the waters and reach the small island to find the Cogwheel.
Once you have the items in hand, head back to the cable car and hold the left mouse button to feed the ingredients and fix the cable car to access the mountains.
