Let’s explore the ‘A Sign of Hope’ side quest in Stalker 2 and learn how to complete its main and optional objectives.
Stalker 2’s ‘A Sign of Hope’ quest is one of the more memorable missions in the game due to its perfect display of persisting humanity in a hellish landscape. A Noontider has been exposed to psi-radiation and has turned into a zombie as a result. However, the Noontider has been left to rot and suffer. Professor Lodochka wants you to put the Noontider out of his misery, as nobody deserves a fate like that.
In this guide, we shall go over the ‘A Sign of Hope’ quest in Stalker 2 and how to complete it.

How To Complete A Sign of Hope
You begin the quest by talking to Professor Lodochka in his lab (marked as Lodochka’s Lab on the map). The professor informs you of a Noontider named Kvashka who went up to the roof, turned on an antenna, and was blasted by psi-radiation in the process. Now, Kvashka patrols the roof as a mindless zombie, suffering and decaying. The professor wants you to deliver peace to the Noontider. Agree to his request to accept the ‘A Sign of Hope’ quest.
Head Up to the Roof
Exit Lodochka’s lab and head northwest until you reach a massive wall. Take the staircase adjacent to the wall, head upstairs, and enter the door at the landing. Continue forward, take a left, and climb up the ramp to reach the fire exit. Climb up the stairs and go to the top until you reach a dead end. Take the door on your right and jump onto the pipes ahead. Follow the path along the pipes to head back outdoors. Continue on and take the external stairs to reach the roof.

Finding the Antenna
At the top, head east and loop around the structure to reach a small tower. Climb the ladder to reach the top and jump to the roof ahead. You will see Kvashka mindlessly standing on the roof, looking at the floor. He will attack you if he detects you, so tread carefully. Climb the ladder in front of him to reach the antenna switchboard.
Kill Kvashka
Once you meddle with the switchboard, Kvashka will start patrolling the roof. Kill him to complete the optional objective and return to Professor Lodochka in his laboratory. Inform him of the task being done to complete the ‘A Sign of Hope’ quest.
