One of the domination matches takes you to the Royal Palace in Yggsgard. This map in the ‘realm of the Gods’ was crafted while keeping certain variations in mind. So, there is no ‘one’ combination of characters that will succeed here.

However, the best team composition that we brought you today is put together in a way that you and your friends will complement each other’s playstyle and keep the enemies on their toes.

If you face highly skilled players, they may best you with their knowledge of the game, its characters, and the on-screen environment. But those who opt for this team can give them a battle they remember.

Yggsgard: Royal Palace offers three regions in no particular order: Odin’s Archive, Bifrost Garden, and Throne Room. Each of these areas has different hazards that you can exploit. We will explore it further below, along with the best characters to choose.

Best Vanguards for Yggsgard: Royal Palace

Thor

What better defender of Yggsgard than the throne prince himself? The God of Thunder is a Vanguard by class. This means that he is a tanky character, with lots of health, massive damage-dealing capabilities, and crowd control abilities.

While he doesn’t have a lot of dedicated crowd control abilities, his sheer size, and buff health can distract enemies from their primary objective. In the meantime, the rest of the allies can take advantage.

Thor Odinson doesn’t ‘fly’ like Iron Man in the game but can charge up his Mjolnir to boost himself pretty high up. This works incredibly well during the indoor regions of Throne Room and Odin’s Archive as well.

Groot/Magneto

Groot is one of the most tanky characters in the game, with an HP of 850! Not only that, but he can also deal a lot of damage. However, the highlight of his gameplay is his ability to create blockades.

Two of his abilities are all about erecting tall walls that enemies can’t vault or penetrate easily. These can come in handy when you have already secured a certain objective and don’t want your foes re-entering so easily.

Moreover, he can also provide great cover with these blockades whenever his allies are low on health.

Another alternative may be Magneto. He works similarly in supporting and defending his teammates. He can even offer them a shield on the go. His attacks are also more destructive and ranged compared to Groot. However, he can’t generate blockades like Groot.

Best Duelists Yggsgard: Royal Palace

Hela Marvel Rivals

Apart from being a great damage dealer, Hela would work great if somebody on your team took up Thor and/or Loki. The three half-siblings have a Team-up Ability. It is a passive ability that activates when Hela lands the final hit on an enemy. If Thor and Loki are dead, this Team-up ability can resurrect them immediately. And if her two half-brothers are still alive, Hela’s final hit will grant them bonus HP.

She is also useful for those who enjoy a tricky traversal. This is because Hela can turn into a raven and fly for a few seconds before transforming back to her original form. This is a useful ability for all three regions in Yggsgard’s Royal Palace.

Scarlet Witch

Wanda Maximoff was acknowledged as the strongest Avenger in the MCU after Phase 3 ended. She proved her prowess in the second Doctor Strange movie installment as well. And now in Marvel Rivals, the Scarlet Witch is back to be the menace that we expected her to be.

She has a basic attack that doesn’t require reloading. In fact, you don’t even need to have a perfect aim to activate it. Just holding down the basic attack button will gradually drain the life force out of your targeted/nearest enemy. The only drawback is that it’s a slow process, so you will have to utilize other skills as well, and you may not be able to handle it when you are outnumbered.

She has a Team-up with Magneto, who is canonically her father in many timelines. If you select Scarlet Witch and somebody on your team has opted for Magneto, you don’t need to do anything. Your friend in question can activate the Team-up ability and use the presence of the Chaos Magic to power up Magneto’s attacks.

Best Strategists for Yggsgard: Royal Palace

Loki

Loki Marvel Rivals

Marvel fans usually associate Loki with the fall of Asgard. However, in Marvel RIvals, he can be useful on the Royal Palace map, irrespective of the side that you are on.

The God of Mischief has several trickster abilities that could annoy your enemies easily. For example, he can duplicate himself twice, simultaneously. These clones will have your username tag on top of them, and remain perfectly fine in full health, for as long as you keep playing as Loki. You can also aim at your illusion and take its place to get out of harm’s way or quickly reach a destination.

Loki can also turn invisible for a few moments and cover more distance while invisible. As a Strategist, he can also heal nearby allies using an AoE ability in a certain area.

Adam Warlock/Jeff the Land Shark

Adam Warlock may appear to be a misfit in this map but his abilities are pretty useful here. He can use abilities like Soul Bond to bind all nearby allies together. This allows for the damage taken to be shared among everyone. So, even if somebody is receiving damage from Hulk, it won’t be fatal.

In the meantime, Warlock can also use Avatar Life Stream to heal the bonded, and himself. This healing ability can be used independently of the Soul Bond though. However, anybody who is bonded can be healed using other ways to automatically heal the rest of the bonded teammates.

If Warlock is not your cup of tea, you may want to try Jeff the Land Shark. This adorable finned-puppy can be annoying on the enemy team, but incredibly helpful on your own. He can heal his allies pretty quickly and effectively. His ultimate ability, It’s Jeff, let’s you swallow everyone, including teammates, in a certain radius. Now, Jeff will continue dealing damage to them over time until he spits them out alive.

The best, and the most infamous, strategy after swallowing your foes is to first spit out your allies safely, and then spit out your enemies near a cliff to their doom. This works exceptionally well in a region like the Bifrost Garden.
