As you head into Act 2 of Path of Exile 2, the tension and stakes ramp up, and so does the challenge. The bosses get harder with little to no notice, and if you’re not up to par, you can be left frustrated. This is especially true for the Watchful Twins boss fight in Act 2. The boss fight sees you taking on two enemies at once, and juggling their attacks while moving around a small arena can be overwhelming.

Where To Find the Watchful Twins in Path of Exile 2
You find the dreaded Watchful Twins during Act 2 of Path of Exile 2. You will come across the boss arena while exploring the ruins of Deshar. As you venture deeper into the area, you will see a mounting number of carcasses along your path.
If you see this, it means you’re on the right track, as the Watchful Twins “grow fat on the flesh of the dead.” The entrance to their arena is marked by a makeshift wooden arch gate. Enter the arena, and you will find a pile of corpses and gold. The boss fight will kick off as you reach the center.
How To Beat the Watchful Twins in Path of Exile 2
Random Modifiers
The Watchful Twins are Mugin, the Frost Bringer, and Hunin, the Storm Caller. As their fancy titles suggest, the two creatures deal lightning and frost damage. Apart from that, they share pretty much the same physical moveset. We recommend carrying charms to grant lightning or frost resistance to negate the damage from one of them.
Furthermore, the Watchful Twins work with a unique quirk where they spawn with different modifiers that change from fight to fight. If the modifiers you’re dealt with seem too overpowered, we recommend restarting from the checkpoint, and they will spawn with a different modifier.
How To Beat the Boss
There are no specific attacks you need to watch out for when fighting the Watchful Twins. The two creatures are hounds, both visually and mechanically. All the two creatures do is swipe, slash, and smash. What makes this problematic is the lack of cues and reaction time given to identify which attack is which. All we know is, if you’re a bit further away, they’re likely to jump and smash the ground you stand on. The other two attacks have no identifiable cues.
The trick to beating the Watchful Twins is to constantly stay on the move. The arena is small, and the last thing you want is to get locked into a corner. Keep moving and lure the two creatures away from each other to chip away at their HP. Keep moving from one end of the arena to the other. When one is locked into an attack animation, use the opportunity to lure the other and deal damage.
