Each hero in Marvel Rivals has their own set of abilities that makes them unique. As with most hero-shooter games, there are some secret techniques that are not explicitly mentioned in the game. However, these abilities can give you an edge in matches, often catching the opponents by surprise.

In this article, we will mention five secret techniques that you need to use in Marvel Rivals. Most of these are easy to navigate and generally work to your advantage when used in the right setting.

Secret Abilities of Heroes in Marvel Rivals That You Need To Use

Here are the secret Marvel Rivals abilities that you need to use:

  • Moon Knight Super Jump
  • Psylocke Wing Shurikens Double Hit
  • Psylocke Dash-Shuriken Combo
  • The Punisher Super Jump
  • Mantis Sleep Delay

Here is a detailed explanation of each of these hidden techs that you need to use:

1) Moon Knight Super Jump

Secret Tech: Aim down at the ground and use Moonlight Hook to get a vertical super jump.

Moon Knight is a master of mobility with his Moonlight Hook ability that allows him to grapple to a location. He also has a double jump ability, and using these two in combination, you can reach high ground easily. Amid a fight, aiming the grapple and escaping might be problematic. However, a secret tech for Moon Knight can make this easier.

If you aim down vertically at the ground as Moon Knight and use the Moonlight Hook, you will automatically get a vertical super jump in Marvel Rivals. Pair this with his double jump, and you can reach an impressive height. You can use your Night Glider ability to then escape, or you can use it to reposition or catch enemies off-guard in the middle of a fight.

2) Psylocke Wing Shurikens Double Hit

Secret Tech: When you recall Psylocke’s Wing Shurikens, it hits wherever your crosshair is aiming before returning to you.

Psylocke is one of the most heavy-hitting Duelists in Marvel Rivals currently. Her Wing Shurikens, in particular, can deal poke damage to her enemies while also granting her overhealth for a short duration. Wing Shurikens automatically return to you after a short while, or you can manually call them back. Here is where this secret tech lies: the shurikens can be used to do a double hit while calling them back.

When you manually recall your Wing Shurikens, they do not return to you directly. Instead, they will hit wherever your crosshair is aimed and then return back to you. This allows you to hit multiple enemies with them. Moreover, you will also gain overhealth twice if you hit two separate enemies with the Wing Shuriken using this secret ability in Marvel Rivals.

3) Psylocke Dash-Shuriken Combo

Secret Tech: Psylocke’s Psi-Blade Dash automatically recalls Wing Shurikens to the point of the dash, while also hitting the target you dashed to.

Psylocke’s Psi-Blade Dash is an ability that grants her exceptional mobility. However, this ability has a secret interaction with the Wing Shurikens that Marvel Rivals doesn’t tell you about.

If you use the Psi-Blade Dash after throwing the Wing Shurikens at an enemy, the Shurikens automatically return to you where your dash ends. If you hit an enemy with your dash, the shurikens will also hit them before returning to you. The overhealth that you get from the Wing Shurikens hitting someone is also activated at this point. This is an interesting combo that you can exploit to deal massive damage with your other abilities.

4) The Punisher Super Jump

Secret Tech: The Punisher can get a horizontal “super jump” by jumping just before the end of his Vantage Connection.

The Punisher is one of the most versatile heroes and is one of the few characters with an entire arsenal of mechanical weapons. Paired with his Vantage Connection ability, The Punisher can get to high ground easily or cover a substantial distance with it. While he is not the most mobile hero, this ability aims to make up for some of it. That said, there is a secret tech with this Vantage Connection ability that can give a massive boost to The Punisher’s mobility in Marvel Rivals.

If you aim the Vantage Connection at the edge of a building or structure in a way that no other structure obstructs it, you can get a horizontal super jump with The Punisher in Marvel Rivals. Once you have attached the grappler to the edge of the building, all you need to do is jump just before the end of the grapple. If done correctly, The Punisher will maintain the momentum and land much further, often covering double the distance of the entire Vantage Connection ability.

5) Mantis Sleep Delay

Secret Tech: Mantis has approximately a 0.5-second delay with her sleep (Spore Slumber), and you can land two shots with her Life Energy Blast.

Mantis is one of the best Strategists in Marvel Rivals owing to her sheer versatility. Notably, her Spore Slumber is an ability that can entirely thwart an enemy’s aggression, especially for flankers like Iron Fist or Spider-Man. Unfortunately, Mantis’s Life Energy Blast (primary attack) does not deal enough damage to kill any slept enemies, even if you land two headshots.

Interestingly, Mantis’ Spore Slumber has an approximately 0.5-second delay between being cast and taking an effect on the enemy. If you hit the enemy exactly when you cast the Spore Slumber, you can get two hits with your Life Energy Blast, and they will not wake up. At this point, you can hit them twice with your Natural Anger boost to easily kill them, and there’s nothing that the enemy can do to save themselves.
