KisSoft’s action RPG Atlyss features 5 different races, with each having a unique starting skill and a creature type.
Atlyss, developed by Kiseff and published by KisSoft, is a single-player/online action RPG. The Early Access was released on November 23, 2024, for PC. With positive responses everywhere, the game turns out to be a favorite for many players because of its funny and cute environmental setup and gameplay.
For players who prefer to join hands with their friends and kill some creatures, this game is worth a try. Although primarily designed for online play, you can still enjoy playing this game offline without losing any of the features.
The fun-filled character creation and customization menu allows you to create your character from five different races, each rooted in a different creature type and having a unique starting skill. This guide explains how the race system works, as well as the types and initial skills for all races.

How Does Race System Work in Atlyss?
There are 5 distinct races in Atlyss: Imp, Poon, Kobold, Byrdle, and Chang. Depending on your race, your physical appearance varies. Since each race is focused on a specific creature, your character’s appearance resembles the creature. Tweaking the color, body, and head sliders allows you to modify the character. With these sliders, you can get your desired height and body proportions.
Each race brings you a unique starting skill. You cannot change or alter this skill. However, you can unlock and add more skills based on your selected class later during your playthrough. You have three classes to choose and master: Fighter, Mystic, and Bandit.
