Here is the complete translation of all the Morse Codes that appear in Civilization 7 as part of a narrative event in the game.

One of the random narrative events that take place while playing Civilization 7 is the “Morse Code.” This strategy game is full of surprises that you will sometimes stumble upon while playing. However, the Morse Code puzzle, in my opinion, is by far the most confusing one among all the other mechanisms that Civilization 7 has to offer. Why, you ask? Well, for one, we have to solve it on our own.
Morse Code Translation in Civilization 7
First Transmission
This narrative event will show up as “A Transmission.” People who are new to Morse Code might not realize what kind of encryption it is supposed to be. As one would expect, the code is in dots and dashes that you later have to translate. The transmission reads “-.-. –.- -.. . .- ….- .-. -.-” (without the quotes). This translates to CQDEA4RK. The meaning behind this message roughly translates to “Calling from A4R, over.” I am not sure what place A4R is and who is sending these messages, but everybody can respond to this message through one of the two options and get different responses from the original sender in the next turn.
Positive Response
One of the options that players can choose is “–. .- — — …. .– ..–..” (without the quotes). This can be abbreviated to “GAOMHW?” The exact meaning behind this message you are sending will be “Good afternoon, old man. How do you copy my signal?” This will invite a positive response later on from the sender of the first transmission.

The reply that you receive later is “–. .- -.. .-. — — ..- .-. ….. —-. —-.” (without the quotes). The abbreviation for these Warm Greetings is “GADROMUR599” which reads, “Good afternoon dear old man, you are perfectly readable, [with] extremely strong signal, [and a] perfect tone.” Players will get +900 Science as a reward. This can be used to achieve one of the Victory Conditions.
Negative Response
Another option that players can choose here is “–.- .- –. ….. .—” (without the quotes). The abbreviation behind this code is “QAG5J“. Roughly, it would translate to, “Arrange your flight in order to arrive over at 5J“. Sounds confusing, right? The sender of the first transmission wouldn’t be too happy with this message either.
The unfortunate response to your chosen option is “-. .. .-.. .-.. .. -.. … -.-” (without the quotes). The accurate abbreviation for this Chilly Response would be “NILLIDSK“. If you translate it to the real meaning, it would roughly say, “No signal, poor radio operator.” As a result, you would be debuffed with 50% reduced Science for the next 3 turns.
