Discover every Destruction trainer in Oblivion Remastered and learn how to master the skill through quests, books, and training.

Destruction is the school of magic focused on directly inflicting damage on the enemy with elemental fury and pure magic. The skill is a mage’s primary source of dealing damage to an enemy. Even for other classes, Destruction magic is the only viable alternative to Conjuration when it comes to beating the game at Expert or Master difficulties. This is because of Destruction spells that inflict Weakness effects, which multiply the damage done to targets, devastating even the spongiest of enemies.
Like most of the skills in the game, Destruction can be leveled up with both practice and training. To train in the art, you will have to seek out a handful of experts who offer Destruction training in Cyrodiil.
Every Destruction Trainer in Oblivion Remastered
Most Destruction trainers can be found in the Mages Guild branches in each of the major towns. Contrary to what one may expect, you do not need to gain access to the Arcane University in order to master Destruction.
Trainer Name | Location | Skill Level |
---|---|---|
Chanel | Castle Chorrol | Basic (0-40) |
J’skar | Bruma Mages Guild | Basic (0-40) |
Delphine Jend | Bravil Mages Guild | Advanced (0-70) |
Marc Gulitte | Anvil Mages Guild | Advanced (0-70) |
Bralsa Andaren | Near the Wayshrine of Kynareth | Master (71-100) |
Master Destruction Training
Bralsa Andaren is a difficult mage to find, as she lives in the forest, hunts deer, and is obsessed with Kynareth’s shrine. To convince her to train you, complete the Destruction Training quest. Begin the quest by speaking with Delphine Jend or Marc Gulitte once you reach level 70 in Destruction. They will point you to Bralsa Andaren, who is initially unwelcoming. However, she agrees to provide training once you bring her twenty bear pelts. After the quest is complete, Bralsa offers training between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., when she isn’t hunting.
How To Improve Destruction in Oblivion Remastered

Besides leveling Destruction by casting spells or paying for lessons, there are some other ways to boost the skill:
- Skill books: Finding and reading Destruction skill books will level it up for free.
- Quest: Completing the Hermaeus Mora quest and choosing Oghma Infinium’s Path of Spirits provides +10 points to Destruction, Restoration, and Conjuration.
- Vampirism: Becoming a full-fledged vampire can add up to +20 points in Destruction.
- Fortify Destruction: Using the Fortify Destruction spell before casting a powerful spell or wearing armor enchanted with Fortify Destruction can improve the skill. However, it is more efficient to Fortify Magicka and increase the Intelligence attribute for a similar effect.
