Civilization 7 is the latest release in Sid Meier’s Civilization game series. This civilization-building strategy game takes gamers through a plethora of different ages—from Antiquity to the Modern era.

Each era has a selection of distinct races, for e.g. Antiquity has Aksum, Egypt, Greece, Han China, Khmer, Mauryan India, etc. A recurring mechanic in the Civilization series has been the Great People.

In Civilization 7, the Great People has seen a rather big shift. Unlike Civilization 6, Civ 7 has a separate class of Great Person Unit, that are exclusive to five announced civilizations.

Without further ado, let us take a look at them.

What are the Great People?

To put it plainly, they are historical figures that appear in your civilization. In Civ 7, the Great People are unique within a civilization. Moreover, there is no limit to the number of Great People that can be obtained but it gets increasingly difficult and expensive every time.
