Learn about the various types of merchants in Palworld and discover their locations to enhance your trading knowledge.
Resource gathering and management are part and parcel of survival crafting games like Palworld. You can explore the open world of Palpagos Islands to farm all your basic needs. However, the developers also scattered merchants to save your grinding time. Palworld has several types of merchants who cover all your needs, ranging from essential items and weapons to Pals.
Tracking the location of all these merchants is a challenging job, but it is essential to know their whereabouts as they increase your chances of survival. Notably, some merchants are harder to find than others because they are involved in illegal trading and hide themselves from the outside world. Get the complete details about all the merchant types, locations, and the items they sell in Palworld.
All Merchant Types and Their Locations in Palworld
The world of Palworld is open to various types of merchants, and you can find them all over the island. Let’s run over the different merchant types and where you can find them in Palworld.
Wandering Merchant
Staying true to their name, these merchants wander around the island. However, some of them can be found permanently around villages or settlements. These merchants come in two variations differentiated by their coat color. The Wandering Merchant with the red coat usually has basic items like schematics, seeds, and organs, whereas the green-coat counterpart trades weapons and ammunition.

Black Marketeer
Black Marketeers, wearing a black cloak and a mask, are the advanced versions of Pal Merchants, as their wares include high-rarity Pals with higher levels. Similar to Pal Merchants, you can buy and sell your Pals for gold with Black Marketeers. Additionally, you can sell humans to Black Marketeers. Since these merchants are involved in illegal trading, they usually hide themselves in caves or far locations from the settlements. Check out the locations of all Black Marketeers in our dedicated coverage.
Medal Merchant
Medal Merchants, covered with a golden cloak and wearing a mask, are a unique type of merchant introduced in the Sakurajima Update. Unlike the other merchants, they accept only Dog Coins for selling unique items such as Stamina Elixir and Life Fruit.
These merchants don’t have any marked spots, unlike the other traders, as they spawn randomly. However, they have chances to appear near any sightings of churches, ruins, or near Statues of Power. The following are some of the expected locations of Medal Merchants:
- Desolate Church
- Forgotten Island Church (-455, -17)
- Sea Breeze Archipelago Church (-62, -535)
- Marsh Island Church (399, -276)
