- Move into Plains- Embervale has fallen, consumed by the “Shroud”. Open your map to find a marked spot, showing the best location for your base. The location is in the Plains. However, you can select any area above the Shroud.
- Get a Flame Alter- Craft a Flame Altar after reaching the designated location. This structure establishes your base, allowing you to craft and build the shelter.
- Placing Flame Altar in Base- Once you build a Flame Altar, place it to set up your base. You need 5x Stone to craft Flame Altar. You can easily find the stone nearby on the ground.
- Speak with Flame Altar- Interact with the Flame Alter to speak to it and learn how to proceed.
Find The Sleeping Survivor

- Pass through the Bridge- Head northwest from the Plains and go through north of the nearby ruins. There will be Braelyn Bridge which spans a canyon filled with the Shroud. Pass through the bridge to get to the survivor’s location.
- Awaken The Survivor- Once you reach the marked location, you’ll find the sleeping survivor. Interact with them to awaken and rescue them.
- Summon the Survivor- You need to place them in your home with a Summoning Staff. This takes one twig that you can collect while gathering some bushes.

Prepare accordingly as you’ll face adversaries guarding the vault.
- Summon The Alchemist- Return to your base after locating the Alchemist. Grab a Summoning Staff to summon the Alchemist.

- Explore the area- Find the Ancient Spire in the Albaneve Summits. The Spire’s location is marked on your map. Move to the top of the Ancient Spire and interact with the Flame to ignite the spire.
Ignite The Coldest Elixir Well

- Move to the Elixir Well- Receive this quest by interacting with the Flame at your base’s Flame Altar. Make sure your Flame level is at least 7 to navigate easily the Shroud. Move to the northernmost Elixir Well by following the map. Get close to the well from the south, hugging the left side of the path. This allows you to avoid deadly Shroud zones.
- Defeating Evil Eye- Move into the well and use updrafts to navigate through the area. Defeat the Evil Eye monster inside the well. Get ready for its attack pattern, including some unique moves.
- Level up Flame- Collect the Fell Cyclops Head as a quest item and make your way back to the base to interact with the Flame Altar. You need to use the Fell Cyclops Head to upgrade your Flame, enhancing its power.
Slaying The Corrupted Beast
Here are all the steps to complete Slaying The Corrupted Beast Quest in Enshrouded.
- Get to the First Balefire- Interact with the Flame at your base’s Flame Altar to receive this quest. Make sure your Flame Altar is upgraded to Level 7 and your character level is 35. You need to find and ignite the 8 Balefires scattered across the Albaneve Summits to summon the Fell Dragon Youngling.
- Light the First Balefire- Open the map to move to the first location that holds a balefire. Get closer to the fire stop the tower near the end of the garrison and light it to proceed.
- Find and Light All Balefires- Find all the remaining seven balefires. While standing near the balefire, you can see structures in the distance. Each new structure has a balefire and the last one is located on the mountain in the Everfrore Keep.
- Defeat the Beast in Howling Peal- Woke up the beast by lighting all balefires. Make sure your Frost Resistance is sufficient to survive. The battle will be at the summit of Howling Peak. Use Lightning Spells or Stun Arrows to fill the dragon’s stun meter.
- Return to Base- Collect the Fell Dragon Youngling Head after defeating it. Move to your base and use the head to upgrade your Flame Altar.
