Build these primary structures at the initial stages of the game because they will be critical throughout the game as you gather resources, craft gear, and prepare for tougher challenges. Venture into the world to gather resources needed for the Workshop. Upgrade the Workshop while progressing in the game to unlock more crafting options and powerful gear.
The Blacksmith can create a Charcoal Kiln, and you can place it in your base. After that, you can produce various advanced materials like Charcoal, Tar, and Wood Acid. For example, charcoal requires wood logs and dirt combined to generate 15 charcoal per 5 minutes. Most early game furniture, like Charcoal Klin, is cheap. The charcoal kiln requires only 20 stones to make, and you can place it in your base.
What are Workshops in Enshrouded
Crafting is the process of creating new items from Crafting Materials. Manual Crafting can be done anywhere, but most recipes require a Workshop such as a Workbench or Craftspeople. You must have the materials to craft the items in your inventory, or if you are within the range of a magic chest with the required materials. Blacksmith Workshops in Enshrouded
Oswald is the first Craftsperson NPC that you can save in Enshrouded. He is a blacksmith who can craft high-grade armor and tools for you in Embervale. Since these tools can break and the Armor needs to be upgraded, he needs to stick around. You can save him pretty early on in the game. Players need to visit the Ancient Vault, southwest of the Ancient Spire in Springlands. He will give you access to the Blast Furnace, Charcoal Kiln, Forge, Smelter, and Smithing Tools. Unlock Blacksmith in Enshrouded by completing the Find The Sleeping Survivor quest given to you by The Flame. Blacksmith allows you to craft the following Workshops in the game.
Charcoal Kiln
Charcoal Kiln is a crafting station in Enshrouded that is created by Blacksmith, The materials required to craft the Charcoal Kiln is Stone x20. You can collect stones by picking up stones on the ground throughout the world, enshrouded areas included. Hit a large boulder with the help of Pickaxe to get Stone as well. Once the Charcoal Kiln is created you can place it in your base to use it frequently and to build new things. The materials that can be crafted using the Charcoal Kiln are:
- Charcoal- Crafted by putting Wood Logs and Dirt in a Charcoal Kiln, this recipe produces 15 Charcoal in 5 minutes.
- Wood Acid- Crafted by putting Wood Logs and Dirt in a Charcoal Kiln, this recipe produces 10 Wood Acids in 7 minutes.
- Tar- Crafted by putting Wood Logs and Dirt in a Charcoal Kiln, this recipe produces 10 Tars in 6 minutes.
Forge
Forge is a crafting table in Enshrouded that is created by Blacksmith. The materials required to craft the Forge are Stone, Metal Scraps, Charcoal, and Wood logs. Stones are collected by collecting them from the ground and Metal Scraps can be found hidden inside chests. Charcoal is obtained by putting Wood Logs and Dirt in a Charcoal Kiln. Lastly, the Wood Logs are obtained from chopping down Trees and destroying wooden objects. The materials that can be crafted using the Forge are:
- Metal Sheets- Crafted by putting Charcoal and Metal Scraps in a Forge, this recipe can produce 1 Metal sheet in 2 minutes.
Smelter
The Smelter is created by the Blacksmith after completing the quest Crucible Needed For A Smelter to obtain the Crucible. Use the Fired Brick and Crucible to craft the Smelter and produce new recipes. Fired Brick is crafted at the Kiln by using the 1xLump of Clay and 1xWood Logs and Crucible can be found in the Mark of Salem in Revelwood. You can make more recipes once the Smelter is crafted in the game.
- Iron Bars- Crafted by putting Iron Ore and Charcoal in a Smelter, this recipe can produce 10 Iron Bars in 10 minutes.
- Copper Bars- Crafted by putting Copper Ore and Charcoal in a Smelter, this recipe can produce 10 Copper Bars in 5 minutes.
- Bronze Bars- Crafted by putting Copper Bars and Tin Bars in a Smelter, this recipe can produce 10 Bronze Bars in 5 minutes.
- Tin Bars- Crafted by putting Tin Ore, Wood Acid, and Charcoal in a Smelter, this recipe can produce 3 Tin Bars in 4 minutes.
- Glass- Crafted by putting Sand and Charcoal in a Smelter, this recipe can produce 10 Glass in 5 minutes.
Blast Furnace
The Blast Furnace can be crafted after obtaining the Bellows for the Blacksmith in the quest A Blast Furnace For The Blacksmith. It’s used to melt Steel Bars and Silver Bars to craft higher-quality gear. You can craft the Blast Furnace by using the Sand, Fired Brick, Bellows, Lump of Clay, and Iron Bars. While Sand is obtained by digging the ground in the Kindlewastes with your Pickaxe, the Fired Brick is crafted at the Kiln. The Bellows can be looted off the Scavenger Tyrant and Lump of Clay is obtained from Revelwood.
Alchemist Workshops in Enshrouded
Balthazar can prove very useful if potions and medicines are something that you use a lot in an RPG. The alchemist does exactly what the profession sounds like. Moreover, you can gain access to the Alchemy Station, Grinding Stones, Laboratory, and Mortar. Alchemy Station
The Alchemy Station is created by the Alchemist after completing A Black Cauldron For The Alchemist. You can craft the Alchemy Station by using the Fired Brick, Wood Planks, Nails, Wood Logs, Copper Bar, and Black Cauldron. Fired Brick is crafted at the Kiln and Wood Planks are obtained by using the 1x Wood Logs at the Table Saw. Nail can be obtained by collecting loot and Copper Bars are obtained by smelting Copper Ore in a Smelter. You can craft the following recipes using the Alchemy Station.

Laboratory
You can get Laboratory by the Alchemist after completing the Scientific Instruments For A Laboratory quest, collecting the Scientific Instruments, and crafting the Athanor. For crafting Laboratory you need Scientific Instruments, Athanor, Fired Brick, Copper Bars, and Glass. You can craft the following materials by interacting with the Laboratory.
- Enshrouded Oil- Crafted by putting 6xShroud Spores, 5x Coal Powder, 5x Shroud Liquid, and 1x Sulfur in a Grinding Stone, this recipe can produce 1 Enshrouded Oil in 2 minutes.
- Black Powder- Crafted by putting 7xNitrate, 1xSulfur, and 2xCoal Powder in a Laboratory, this recipe can produce 1 Black Powder in 3 minutes.

Hunter Workshops in Enshrouded
The Hunter is another useful companion in Enshrouded if you are looking to increase your carrying capacity in the game. She appears pretty early on in the game, and you should save her as soon as you can. The Hunter will help you with a Drying Rack, Hand Spindle, Spinning Wheel, Improved Spinning Wheel, Loom, and Tanning Station. The Hunter is east of the Springlands Ancient Spire, in an Ancient Vault. Hunter allows you to craft the following Workshops in the game.
Drying Rack
You will get the Drying Rack by the Hunter however, you need Salt to dry things. So, complete the Salt Mine Location quest. You can easily craft this Workshop by utilizing the Wood Logs and String. The Drying rack is good for crafting the following items.
- Dried Purple Berry- Crafted by putting the Purple Berries in a Drying Rack, this recipe can produce 1 Dried Purple Berry in 5 minutes.

Handle Spindle
You can get the Handle Spindle by the Hunter after completing The Hunter’s Hand Spindle quest. For crafting the Handle Spindle you need Fossilized Bone and Wood Planks. Beehive
Honey Beehive or Beehive is a crafting station in Enshrouded. You will get Beehive by the Farmer after completing the A Beehive Smoker quest and collecting the Beehive Smoker from the Vukah Brawler to craft it. The required materials to craft the Beehive Workshop are Wood Logs, Straw, and Lump of Clay. After crafting this Workshop, you can use this station to craft Honey and Wax.
