Managarmr is a useful beast to tame in Ark Survival Ascended Extinction. Follow this guide if you want the process to be smooth.
Managarmr is a flying beast in Ark Survival Ascended, who happens to also breathe ice. Players who have returned to the game after a year due to the Extinction update are welcome to capture this evolved dino. However, it is not an easy catch.
Just like we mentioned above, the chipmunk-looking giant creature can breathe out ice. So, if you get hit once, you can die before you know it. Moreover, the monster is pretty fierce. It has erratic movements thanks to its flying ability. But the traversal doesn’t stop there. It also has combustion chambers in its hind legs, allowing it to jump boost and also hover over enemies.
Managarmr makes a great companion. Its agility, attacks, and high mobility can make it a great and effective mount. Also, the ice-breath ability can freeze some creatures in their place, making them easier to tame!
There are a few ways you can tame it successfully. However, in our opinion, trapping works the best to capture it. You might find the process a bit risky at first, but it’s not rocket science and is relatively less complex than other methods.

Catching and Taming Managarmr
Unfortunately, you cannot tranquilize the fluffy dragon right away. We say this because of its erratic maneuver and high-damage attacks. So, it’s best to lock Managarmr first before taming it. We need you to take the following steps to tame this beast:
- The best way to catch Managarmr is by immobilizing it. You can do so by first placing down Large Bear Trap on the ground. If possible, you should place more than one of them. This will allow you to have better chances of catching the flying beast.
- Now, you must lure Managarmr to the trap before you can “tame” it. Once it is caught, start by placing Stone Gateways around the dragon to trap it. The next step is to shoot tranquilizers to knock it out.
- Now, starve the creature before you feed it. This will speed up the taming process. Keep jumping in the enclosure so the creature burns its energy and hunger levels. Once it is all starved, feed it immediately.
- You can use foods like Exceptional Kibble, Raw Mutton, Raw Prime Meat, Cooked Lamb Chop, Cooked Prime Meat, and Raw Meat. Exceptional Kibble is the best item to use in this scenario to reduce the taming time. Don’t overfeed it, though. Because it will keep on eating even after it is tamed and will waste your resources.
Follow these steps to ensure that you catch this big boy without much trouble. Remember that it’s a dangerous creature to target, so go a little easy on yourself. It may take you a few tries before you get it right. And once you do, you can explore other methods of capturing it as well.
