When Garou was first introduced in One-Punch Man, he was not just another villain. He was introduced in the second season of the show with his one-man-army performance. Garou went against Blue Fire, Heavy Tank Loincloth, Magic Trick Man, and some criminals.

First up was Magic Trick Man, which took less than three seconds. Heavy Tank Loincloth, Garou destroyed his arm and knocked him out with an uppercut. Blue Fire figured out the trick to his ability and took his hand all in the blink of an eye.

While they were not shown, Garou knocked out all the other people in the room in a very short time. What made Garou special was not just his fighting skills but his belief that heroes were total phonies.

He did not just want to be a bad guy; he wanted to destroy completely the idea of what a hero was supposed to be. And that was how Garou the Monster made his first appearance in the show. This introduction is one of the best Garou moments in One-Punch Man.

2. Garou vs. Metal Bat

The fight between Garou and Metal Bat was pure chaos from start to finish. Metal Bat was known for getting stronger with each hit, thinking he could outlast any opponent. But Garou was something else entirely. He did not just fight; he studied, predicted, and matched Metal Bat’s fighting style. What started as a simple battle turned into a mind-blowing display of fighting genius.

Garou was not just dodging Metal Bat’s attacks. He was reading every single move and reacting perfectly. Metal Bat’s famous fighting spirit met its match in Garou’s incredible skills. Fans watched in total amazement as Garou went toe-to-toe with Metal Bat and was still standing.

Granted, there was a moment when Metal Bat could have ended the entire fight but was stopped by his younger sister. The battle was not just about who was stronger. It showed that Garou was more than enough to match a Class S hero.

3. Garou vs. Watchdog Man

This was one of the most one-sided matches in One-Punch Man. From the start, nothing made sense, and that was exactly the point. Watchdog Man’s bizarre fighting style involved jumping around, moving on all fours, and attacking like an actual dog. This completely threw Garou off his game.

Despite Garou’s incredible combat skills and adaptability, he was no match for Watchdog Man’s raw speed and overwhelming power. The fight was a humbling experience for Garou, who had started becoming proud after his conquests.

But in defeat, Garou reflects and sees that he has started to underestimate his opponents, which is bad for a fighter. He tried everything he could in the fight; however, Watchdog Man’s approach proved too much to handle. While Garou lost the fight, he gained valuable insight into the unpredictable nature of true power. This learning experience was good for him as it taught him to approach battle with a little more caution.

4. Garou vs. Genos

The battle between Garou and Genos was a total shock for everyone. Genos arrived loaded with high-tech weapons, totally confident he could win. But Garou was about to prove that human potential has a chance to beat technology. As they start the fight, Genos and Garou could be said to match each other blow for blow. This was until fatigue set in for Garou, and Genos started overpowering him.

This was the fight after Watchdog Man, and as such, Garous started using the moves he picked up from that fight. At this point, he catches Genos off guard and takes one of his hands. Unfortunately for him, Genos could control the detached hand remotely, and he managed to pin Garou to a tree.

At this point, Bang arrives and takes over from Genos. The fact that Garou was able to take a hand of the S-class hero meant that he was up to the task of eliminating all the best of the best from the Hero Association. The way he moved, the way he thought, showed that human potential could overpower technology, given enough time.

5. Garou vs. A & B Class Heroes

When Garou faced off against a group of A-Class heroes—including Death Gatling, Stinger, Glasses, and Chain’n’toad—he did not just fight them; he completely dismantled them. This was not just a battle; it was a masterclass in combat.

Each hero brought their unique abilities to the table, confident they could take down the “Hero Hunter.” Death Gatling relied on his rapid-fire gun, Stinger on his spear-like strikes, and Chain’n’toad on his whip-like chains. But none of it mattered. Garou moved through the group like a tornado, countering every attack with precision and speed.

Stinger’s spear thrusts? Parried and countered in the blink of an eye. Chain’n’toad’s chains? Rendered useless as Garou broke free and turned the weapon against its user. It was not just a fight, it was a brutal lesson in what real power looked like.

Every hero’s best moves, their special techniques, their confidence—none of it stood a chance against Garou’s overwhelming skill and adaptability. It was a turning point that cemented Garou as a very dangerous figure in One-Punch Man. This was easily one of the best Garou moments in One-Punch Man.

6. Garou vs. Bang and Bomb

When Garou faced Bang and Bomb, the fight was way more than just punches and kicks. These two legendary martial arts masters confronted their lost student with a mix of deep sadness and disappointment.

Every single move they made was filled with years of shared history and painful memories. All the punches and kicks and elbow strikes and knee attacks were filled with anger towards Garou for what he did to Charanko, Bang’s former student. This fight happened when Bang stopped Garou’s fight against Genos.

Initially, the fight was just Garou against Bang. Bang showed Garou the difference between a master and a student as he schooled Garou in the fight. Every move that Garou threw was met with a parry or a perfect counter. Garou was overwhelmed in the fight and decided to take a fallen hero’s body as a shield. Enter Bomb.

As if one master was not enough, Bang and Bomb dealt with Garou, causing Garou to bleed severely. Eventually, he was rescued by Phoenix Man. This fight was a turning point for Garou, as at this point, he completely became a villain.

7. Garou vs. Mumen Rider and Tank Topper Army

Garou’s fight against Mumen Rider, the Tank Topper Army, and Charanko was a mix of brutality and dark humor that showcased his overwhelming superiority. The end of the fight started with Mumen Rider, the C-Class hero known more for his courage than his strength. He attempted to stop Garou with his Justice Crash, but it did not work. Garou grabbed him by the head and bashed his head into the ground multiple times.

The next to be put out of commission was Tank Top Master, an S-class hero. Garou had previously used his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist to seriously wound the hero. This time, he just hit him in the chin and knocked him out. Up next was the Tank Topper Army.

Garou went through them like a hot knife running through butter. He took them all out without breaking a sweat. This fight showed that even with numbers, if the heroes are not good enough, they become prey to Garou.

8. Garou vs. Golden Ball

The fight between Garou and the A-Class hero Golden Ball was a thrilling display of skill, strategy, and adaptability. Golden Ball, with his precision-based ricochet attacks, entered the battle confident in his abilities. He caught Garou off-guard and fired one of his attacks, which slashed Garou across his face. Garou managed to dodge the second one, but the third one ricocheted off a wall and injured his right leg.

Golden Ball unleashed Golden Breakout, a move that uses a lot of golden balls bouncing off walls and attacking a target. Unfortunately, Garou had gotten used to his attacks and was dodging every ball effortlessly with minimal effort. Garou then used his martial arts to flick away all the balls and turned the tables, showing why he was one of the most dangerous fighters in the series. From the look on his face, Golden Ball had already given up and had accepted defeat.

9. Garou vs. Spring Mustachio

In the fight against Golden Ball, Spring Mustachio, another A-class hero, pulled up wielding his spring-loaded sword. He appeared in the nick of time to assist his fellow hero, Golden Ball. With the knowledge that Garou had been injured in his leg, he felt more confident in taking the battle closer to Garou.

When he charged at Garou, Garou took to the sky to avoid the hit. When Spring Mustachio closed in with his sword, Garou countered with flawless precision, disarming him and rendering his attacks useless.

All it took was one punch to put him out of the fight completely. Garou’s willingness to take damage in order to deal heavier damage was shown here. This battle was a turning point, proving that even experienced heroes with specialized skills were outclassed by Garou’s overwhelming power and adaptability.

10. Garou attacking Saitama

In a hilarious twist, Garou attacked what he thought was just another hero. Little did he know it was Saitama. Garou, believing he was facing another opponent, went all out with his attacks, completely unaware he was up against the most powerful hero in the universe. As he struck Saitama with incredible force, Saitama remained completely unfazed, standing there with his typical bored expression.

The moment became legendary when Saitama, annoyed by Garou’s attacks, delivered a simple shoulder chop as revenge. The shock on viewers’ faces when the Hero Hunter attacked the strongest person in the One-Punch Man universe at the time made this moment awesome.

Fans burst out laughing at the absolute absurdity of the scene. Garou, who had become feared by a lot of heroes, was completely neutralized by Saitama’s casual, almost lazy counterattack. It was a perfect reminder that in this world, some levels of power are simply beyond comprehension.

Conclusion

Garou’s journey in One-Punch Man is more than a simple character arc. It is a wild ride that turns everything upside down. From his first shocking appearance to his most intense battles, he constantly defied expectations and left fans stunned. Each moment revealed his incredible ability to grow and transform, challenging what we understand about power and heroism.

Whether facing down entire groups of fighters or schooling heroes that were prideful, Garou proved he was something truly unique. He was not just a regular character. He was a force of nature that rewrote the rules of the hero world. Years from now, fans will still be talking about the legendary Human Monster who changed everything.
