Discover 4 One Punch Man characters that the cyborg Genos can destroy and 4 others he can never win against.

One Punch Man features a plethora of impressive heroes with a wide variety of powers. Even among these, Genos holds a distinctive place for his cybernetic enhancements and rapid rise in strength. Known as the “Demon Cyborg”, Genos is the S-Class Rank 11 hero as well as Saitama’s disciple.
His strength, senses and firepower are off the charts, powerful enough to face multiple monsters at the same time. However, the world of One Punch Man features an abundance of impressive figures. Despite Genos’ meteoric growth, he would struggle to win against certain characters.
Hence, here are 4 One Punch characters that Genos can destroy and 4 who he can never defeat in the series.
4 One Punch Man Characters That Genos Can Destroy
Genos is an extremely formidable fighter driven by his unwavering determination to get stronger and uphold justice. He has earned multiple accomplishments in his short tenure as a hero, but constantly works towards getting stronger. As a result, Genos has become very dependable, capable of destroying powerful opponents including:
1) Puri-Puri Prisoner

The S-Class Rank 13 hero Puri-Puri Prisoner is a powerful individual known for his physical strength and endurance. His durability, healing, and Angel Style fighting have proven to be very effective, as demonstrated during his valiant fight against the Deep Sea King.
At the same time, apart from his close-combat strength and unyielding spirit, Puri-Puri Prisoner lacks versatility in his attacks. He is able to surpass his own limits, but this would do little good against Genos. The cyborg’s arsenal contains a variety of skills and plasma-based abilities that would leave Puri-Puri Prisoner without an answer.
2) Fubuki

The top-ranked B-Class Hero Fubuki is the sister of Tatsumaki and a fan-favorite character due to her personality and design. As an ally of Saitama, it would be unlikely for her to fight Genos, but if they did, she would be quickly defeated.
This is mainly because Fubuki’s abilities pale in comparison to her sister’s. She is undeniably a talented hero, using psychokinetic abilities, erecting psychic barriers and even creating tornadoes with her attacks. Unfortunately, Fubuki’s abilities are only potent against those weaker than her.
She has been defeated by Demon-level threats and has no move that can seriously damage Genos. Due to this, Genos would render her psychic abilities useless and could defeat her with multiple destructive attacks.
3) Tanktop Master

While the Rank 12 S-Class hero Tanktop Master may be close to Genos in the hierarchy, his power wouldn’t be very effective on the cyborg. This is no fault of his own, but rather a poor match-up.
Tanktop Master’s main skill is his immense strength and marksmanship abilities. His raw power is very impressive, capable of lifting heavy debris and launching it at great speeds. He is also a skilled physical combatant, overpowering Garou earlier in the series.
However, his strikes would not be capable of permanently defeating Genos’ enhanced body. The cyborg’s energy-based attacks, sheer firepower and access to nuclear energy would eventually let him come out on top.
4) Speed-o’-Sound Sonic

Speed-o’-Sound Sonic may be a comic relief character known for his hilarious rivalry with Saitama, but he cannot be underestimated as a fighter. As his name indicates, Sonic is an extremely fast fighter who is constantly training to surpass Saitama.
By using ninja techniques, powerful kicks and weapons, he would give a hard time to many opponents. Unfortunately, Genos is not one of them. During their short confrontation in the series, Genos was able to match up to Sonic’s speed, stunning him in the process.
Following this, he was willing to destroy his opponent by incinerating the entire area. This move would have also worked if not for Saitama’s interference.
4 One Punch Man Characters That Genos Can Never Defeat
As we have already seen, Genos is a very impressive hero who can destroy several characters in One Punch Man. However, he is far from its strongest. This is because some figures in One Punch Man have powers surpassing human comprehension, capable of destroying entire planets. While Genos’ rise is very impressive, he isn’t at the level of these individuals yet.
1) Saitama

The protagonist of One Punch Man and Genos’ mentor, Saitama, would unsurprisingly win in a battle against him. Genos himself realizes this, which is the reason why he aims to become as strong as him.
Saitama’s stats are immeasurable to the degree that he has never been pushed to his limits. When sparring with Genos, he has constantly overpowered him with minimal effort. His speed is closer to that of light, while his strength can destroy meteors and entire planets. Therefore, Genos may be among the strongest heroes, but he stands no chance against the main character.
2) Garou

While a battle between Genos and Garou in his human form may have been close, this antagonist has come a long way throughout the series. As the Hero Hunter, he is a prodigious martial artist who adapts at monstrous speeds.
His powers only keep increasing with his “Monsterfication”, as he is able to easily overpower the strongest of heroes, and even villains like Sage Centipede and Orochi. Most notably, Garou has a Cosmic Form where he gains the powers of God.
Through this, he could emit radiation fatal to all life. Garou destroyed Genos in this form, enraging Saitama. This led to a battle that nearly destroyed the world. Hence, Genos could have fought evenly against the early forms of Garou, but the villain’s evolution leaves the cyborg with no chance of victory.
3) Tatsumaki

Unlike Fubuki who is still realizing her powers, her sister Tatsumaki is the strongest esper in One Punch Man. As the S-Class Rank 2 hero in the series, Tatsumaki is arrogant but has the skill to back up her talk.
Her psychic abilities are unparalleled, where she can dominate entire landscapes and create barriers capable of withstanding Orochi’s blasts. Tatsumaki is very flexible in battle and has complete control over her powers. She is quick to act, showcasing immense strength, speed, and reflexes.
Having been able to stop even Boros’ ship’s missiles, there is very little that Genos can do against her. Even if he were to self-destruct, it is unlikely that Tatsumaki’s shield would be penetrated. On the other hand, she could potentially control Genos’ whole cybernetic body, crushing him if and when desired.
4) Boros

The first major antagonist of One Punch Man, Boros, is an alien similar to Saitama who craves a good fight. For its sake, he invaded the human world, eventually fighting the protagonist.
Boros is a genius fighter who is gifted in nearly every area. His strength is potent enough to generate shockwaves, and he is also the first one to survive more than one punch from Saitama. Boros’ regeneration is among the most impressive in the series, and he can use powerful energy-based attacks that cause mass destruction.
Due to this, Boros has nearly every ability of Genos but shows far higher capability in wielding them. He is more durable than the cyborg, his meteoric bursts cause more damage, and he lives for fighting. Therefore, Genos’ growth may put up a valiant battle, but he would eventually be defeated.
