The world of One Piece is filled with powerful characters who display strength through supernatural abilities provided by their Devil Fruits and Haki. As one of the strongest non-Devil Fruit powers, Haki plays a significant role in all high-stakes battles, with Conqueror’s Haki being the rarest and strongest form of it.

Since Conqueror’s Haki is only displayed by the most prominent characters in the series, those possessing it are guaranteed to play a major role in world events. Sabo, the Revolutionary Army’s Chief of Staff, has been racking up accomplishments while being connected to the central themes of One Piece since his return. Hence, fans may wonder whether he has Conqueror’s Haki in the series.

No, Sabo has not shown Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece yet, but many fans expect him to gain it soon. Here is a closer look at why.

Who Is Sabo in One Piece?

Sabo is one of the most important characters in One Piece, originally introduced as Luffy and Ace’s sworn brother when they were young. Unfortunately, when trying to chase freedom and live his life as a pirate, he was presumed to have met an unfortunate end at the hands of Saint Jalmack.

Thankfully, Sabo was saved by Monkey D. Dragon and taken into the ranks of the Revolutionary Army. He has quickly become the second most important figure in the group, save for its leader. Sabo made his name known for his involvement in helping Luffy in Dressrosa and facing Fujitora after inheriting Ace’s Mera Mera no Mi.

Most notably, he took part in the infiltration of the Levely. While there, he intruded upon Imu and Cobra’s meeting, learning several truths of the world. Due to this, the World Government turned its sights on him, showing its fearsome powers by destroying the Lulusia Kingdom.

Hence, despite only recently returning to the series, Sabo has quickly become a crucial figure. He is kind and caring, not hesitating to use his powers to save others. However, as we head into the Final Saga, many fans think he needs another trump card.

Does Sabo Have Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece?

Conqueror’s Haki, also known as Supreme King Haki, is an innate ability that only a handful possess. Rather than instantly showing capability, however, they need to unlock it, as seen in Luffy’s case.

Through its use, Conqueror’s Haki gives users the ability to completely dominate targets. Even at its weakest, it can knock out multiple enemies at the same time, while the more potent versions can single-handedly change the tides of wars.

Despite his strength, Sabo has yet to show Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece. This does not necessarily mean he doesn’t have it, but rather that it could be in its latent phase. While Oda hasn’t confirmed this, there are numerous fan theories surrounding it.

What Other Forms of Haki Does Sabo Have?

Sabo may not have Conqueror’s Haki, but he does have the other two forms. He displayed great prowess with Armament Haki in Dressrosa, imbuing it to both his pipe and his body. Sabo’s capability with this is higher than Jesus Burgess, one of Blackbeard’s Ten Titanic Captains.

In addition, he has also displayed Observation Haki, dodging multiple bullets and sensing Luffy’s presence. In spite of his young age, Sabo has attained mastery in these two forms of Haki. As a result, some viewers find it unusual that he doesn’t have the third form.

Will Sabo Unlock Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece?

Most One Piece fans believe that it is only a matter of time before Sabo unlocks Conqueror’s Haki. He may also already possess it and is simply yet to show it. This is mainly because of how involved Sabo is in major events.

Both of Sabo’s brothers, Luffy and Ace, can use Conqueror’s Haki. It is also hinted that Dragon has it, considering his father Garp and son possess it. Sabo, who has a relationship with all of them, is the only one who has yet to gain it.

In addition, he is currently being targeted by the greatest power in the world—Imu. Due to his knowledge regarding the Ancient Weapons and the Void Century, his current powers will only serve him well up to a point.

Therefore, the fandom will find it highly underwhelming if Sabo doesn’t unlock Conqueror’s Haki for his upcoming fight against his strong enemies. His position as a leader, friend, and inspiration to all other Revolutionaries has given more than enough reason for his worthiness of having this power.

Conclusion

Sabo is undoubtedly one of the most powerful characters in One Piece, possessing both Armament and Observation Haki. Despite not demonstrating Conqueror’s Haki yet, many believe that it will be happening soon.

As we head into the Final Saga and Sabo’s role becomes more important than ever, fans will be hoping Oda gives a grand reveal of this game-changing power for Luffy and Ace’s brother.
