Nezuko Kamado is one of the most beloved characters in the Demon Slayer series. She is the protagonist’s sister who turns into a demon at the start of the series. Nezuko played a big role in Tanjiro’s life as her demonic form pushed her brother to the Demon Slayer Corps. He wanted to find a cure for his little sister and bring her back to normal. Seeing his entire family die, he also swore to kill every demon he encountered.
Nezuko was introduced as an adorable girl who was extremely protective of her elder brother. Despite being a demon, she never harmed a human being. She constantly stood by her brother’s side and often accompanied him during missions.

She used her Blood Demon Art and burned the poison that was circulating in their systems. During their fight against Rui, Nezuko enhanced Tanjiro’s attack by setting his blade on fire. While it was brief, he bit into Nezuko’s flesh, which should have turned her into a demon. However, she was immune to demonic effects, probably due to the antibodies created over a period of time.
