Epic Games is gearing up to release the Lost Isles update for LEGO Fortnite. The trailers and other information provided by the developers pertaining to this upcoming update suggest that some beloved features will be making their way back to the game.
This article will break down everything we know about the contents of the Lost Isles update. Additionally, we will go over some smaller changes that v31.20 will bring to LEGO Fortnite.
What’s New in the LEGO Fortnite Lost Isles Update?
Lost Isles
Lost Isles is a brand new area for players to explore within the LEGO game mode. It will feature five new biomes with many secrets for players to discover. Here is an overview of the five biomes:
1) The Beach is where you can put your mind at ease and relax. However, you will have to stay vigilant for any Pirates that set their sights on you.
2) The Plains occupy a special place in the LEGO game mode as they are home to the Peely Tribe. You can not only interact with the friendly group of Peelys but also help them fight against the Pirates.
3) The Jungle is another new biome you can explore in Lost Isles. You can find various new flora here, like Hop Flowers, Slurp Plants, and Bomb and Stink Plants. They serve different purposes in the game and can prove to be quite handy on your adventures.
4) The Mountains will offer some breathtaking views in LEGO Fortnite. You will also have the opportunity to fight Pirates in the Mountains.
5) The Floating Islands will be visible from most places in the LEGO mode. It is one of the more challenging biomes to navigate but appropriately so since it provides valuable rewards should you manage to conquer it.
New Runes and Weapons
The Lost Isles update will bring a list of new weapons that you can craft and use. These include:
- Pirate Musket
- Flint-Knock Pistol
- Dynamite-Laden Boom Shield
You can pick these weapons up after defeating Pirates. Notably, you will learn their recipes as soon as you acquire them.
The Peely Tribe also has its fair share of weapons in the Lost Isles. These are:
- Throwing Spears
- Explorer’s Machete
- Knockback Shield
On top of all this, Epic Games will also introduce the Rune Forge with the Lost Isles update. The Rune Forge will allow you to craft Runes and attach them to tools to give yourself certain buffs.

| Rune of Health I-III | Apply to a tool to create a chance for enemies to drop Health items when hit |
| Rune of Luck I-III | Apply it to a tool to give it an increased chance of getting extra loot drops when defeating enemies |
| Rune of Undead Bane I-III | Apply it to a tool to give it increased damage against undead enemies |
LEGO Fortnite Klombo and Hostile Creatures
The main highlight of the Lost Isles update is Klombo. The beloved dinosaur-like creature will finally find its way to the LEGO game mode. You can feed Klomberries to Klombo to gain a new companion and even a powerful steed.
However, the update also introduces new hostile creatures called Golems. The three Golems being added to the game are:
- Beach Golem
- Plains Golem
- Jungle Golem
New LEGO Consumables and Toys
The Lost Isles update also brings with it new consumables and toys. You can use these on your adventures through the LEGO Lost Isles to give your character certain advantages. Given below is the full list of consumables that will be added with the v31.20 update:
- Bananas
- Coconuts
- Pineapples
- Klomberries
- Tomatoes
These are the new toys you can use in LEGO Fortnite after the Lost Isles update:
- Cannon
- Free-spin Swivel
- Controllable Swivel
- Stink Jar
Tropical Treasures LEGO Pass
Epic Games is also introducing a brand new LEGO Pass with the Lost Isles update titled Tropical Treasures. Much like previous LEGO Passes, you will have to complete quests and unlock new Builds and Decors. The Pass will be available in both Premium and Free Reward Tracks, both of which offer valuable resources.
