Sakamoto Days, a beloved anime and manga series, has won fans over with its cast of distinctive characters and exhilarating battles. Through its intriguing storyline featuring assassins and supernatural powers, the series has no shortage of immensely powerful individuals.

Here are the 8 strongest Sakamoto Days characters, ranked. The list has been curated based on their abilities and feats in the series.

8) Atari

Atari is a very unique addition to this list since she is the only one who possesses no hand-to-hand fighting prowess. Despite this, her frightening esper powers are among the most broken skills in the series.

As the JAA’s fortune teller, Atari possesses an unparalleled ability to read the future. The assassin organization majorly relies on her abilities, providing her with an elite group of bodyguards. Along with this, Atari can see her own future and make the best possible decision.

Those who have ill intentions toward her often face disaster. This was seen when assassins tried killing her but died of food poisoning. According to Nagumo, she is capable of walking on the front lines of a battlefield and remaining unaffected by bullets. Due to this, despite her lack of physical powers, her psychic abilities more than make up for it.

7) Torres

While Torres is a very recently introduced manga character, he stunned fans with his unexpected strength. He is a new member of the Order who has been a successful assassin for over 50 years.

As proof of this, Torres faces Sakamoto right when the protagonist tries to regain his senses. He displayed immense strength, speed, and reflexes, shocking both Sakamoto and the readers.

Most notably, Torres uses sandblasters instead of guns, which are potent enough to break through metal. Through his experience and abilities, he dominated a weakened Sakamoto and beat him multiple times.

6) Gaku

As a valuable member of X’s Organization and one of Uzuki’s closest friends, Gaku is an extremely formidable opponent in Sakamoto Days. He may seem calm and laid-back, but this is only proof of his confidence in his own strength.

Gaku is a brutal fighter who overpowers others with raw power. He wields a large mace, killing hundreds of JAA members easily. In addition to this, his speed is quick enough to dodge bullets and respond to both Sakamoto and Nagumo’s attacks.

Memorably, Gaku could also hold his own against Takamura for a short time. Despite being heavily injured, he relentlessly fought his opponent. His dedication to his goals and Uzuki pushes him to surpass his limits.

5) Shishiba

Shishiba, one of the strongest Order members, is an aloof man who doesn’t particularly like fighting. Despite this, he is monstrously strong, even assigned to train the impressive Osaragi.

Much like the others on this list, Shishiba has enhanced senses and strength far beyond those of regular humans. In addition to this, he is very smart and adapts to his battlefield. He uses his main weapons, claw hammers, for both attack and defense.

Stating that he uses these weapons since they’re practical and less effort to maintain, Shishiba can block bullets and simultaneously land devastating hits on opponents. With these, he could easily defeat Kashima and overpower Yotsumura.

4) Yoichi Nagumo

The ambiguous Nagumo is a highly deceptive character who displays combat mastery despite his relaxed smile. As a former partner of Sakamoto, Nagumo was believed to be a man bringing a new age to the assassin world.

He has unparalleled stealth and adaptability, boosted by his ability to perfectly disguise himself as anyone. When engaged in battle, there are few who are a match for him. He defeated Gaku through physicality and intellect and can defeat proficient assassins with mere killing intent.

Additionally, Nagumo has shown talent with most weapons he wields. He is one of the best shooters in Sakamoto Days and uses a variety of blades.

3) Taro Sakamoto

As the protagonist, Taro Sakamoto is a retired hitman considered a legend of the industry. His strength is often compared to Nagumo, with constant debates on who is stronger. While Sakamoto has gotten rusty due to his time away, in his prime, he was a force to be reckoned with.

His talent is so great that the JCC deemed him to be the strongest to come out of the institute. Sakamoto’s enhanced strength can easily stop buses, while his unordinary durability is resistant to most physical and mental attacks.

Even in his enlarged form, Sakamoto is agile, which only greatly increases when he gets skinny. Much like Nagumo, Sakamoto uses his surroundings cleverly and can turn everyday objects into dangerous weapons.

He can kill others with everything ranging from guns to plain paper. It is believed that after his retirement, he is only at 30% of the potential of his earlier self. Hence, should he have continued honing his skills, there is a good chance he would be at the top of this list.

2) Takamura

Unlike Sakamoto, who left the assassin world early, Takamura has continued his duties throughout his life. He is believed to be the strongest assassin in the JAA, sending fear to the likes of Sakamoto and Nagumo with his appearance.

Takamura is extremely quick and possesses unsurpassable raw power. Even in his old age, he comfortably faced Nagumo, Uzuki, and Sakamoto at the same time. His main ability, however, is his katana

As a weapon of mass destruction, Takamura’s blade can cut through entire buildings precisely. He can continuously use deadly attacks, forcing every opponent on their back foot. Due to this, even when he finally died, many fans believed it was only because of plot armor.

1) Kei Uzuki

The man who killed Takamura, Kei Uzuki, is the main antagonist of Sakamoto Days. Also known as X and Slur, Uzuki is a man who is cold and brutal to outsiders but very caring to his friends. While he used to be Sakamoto and Nagumo’s partner, he was disillusioned by the assassin world and began plans to take it down.

Through his skills, Uzuki has also come close to achieving his goal multiple times. Uzuki controls many talented subordinates by leading X’s Organization, who would die for him. In addition, he is a very talented man himself.

His pace and reflexes are formidable enough to keep up with Sakamoto. Since he has Situs Inversus, his inner organs are mirrored, making him very durable and capable of surviving fatal attacks. Uzuki’s weapon of choice is also a sword-whip, with which he survived a battle against Takamura.

His main cheat code, however, is dissociative identity disorder. When under extreme stress, Uzuki can copy the personas of others and use their powers. He possesses the abilities of the powerful Rion Akao and also gained Takamura’s powers during their battle. Hence, this fearsome ability with unknown limits is Uzuki’s trump card, placing him at the top of this list.
