However, newer fans of the series might wonder about Kagaya Ubyashiki’s appearance. Someone who hasn’t watched the anime might wonder why his skin appears to be rotting. On that note, we will take a closer look at the cause of Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s appearance in Demon Slayer.

Kagaya Ubyashiki’s appearance is different due to the curse inflicted on his clan. One might wonder why someone like Kagaya would be cursed. He is exceptionally kind and caring and has a level of empathy that very few can match. Kibutsuji Muzan was born into this clan. Therefore, the male members of this family have been cursed to live a very short life.

This implies that Kagaya Ubuyashiki is Kibutsuji Muzan’s direct descendant in the Demon Slayer series. Therefore, every male member of the clan would die before they reached adulthood. The Ubuyashiki clan sought out a priest who picked a bride for the male members, which worked to a certain degree.

The male members would live for slightly longer, but they would die in their early adulthood. The priest asked Kagaya Ubuyashiki to marry Amane. However, he only agreed to do so if she wanted to marry him out of choice. Despite marrying the woman chosen by the priest, Kagaya Ubuyashiki died quite early in the series.

Muzan’s death will lift the curse that afflicts the Ubuyashiki Clan. The manga confirms this during the final stages of the story. Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s son, Kiriya Ubuyashiki, lived for over 100 years and became the oldest living person in Japan. Therefore, one can clearly state that Muzan’s birth into the clan is directly responsible for Kagaya Ubyashiki’s appearance in Demon Slayer.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki is dead in the Demon Slayer series. However, it wasn’t his illness that took him out. There is no doubt that Kagaya Ubuyashiki was on his deathbed and moments away from dying. However, he saved his last breath to launch an attack on Muzan, which would buy the Demon Slayer Corps a few seconds. He sacrificed whatever time he had left in order to create a small opening for the demon hunter.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki had planted explosives all over the Ubuyashiki Mansion. His intuition dictated that Muzan would appear at some point in time. His foresight is impeccable, and the Demon King was standing right before him. Amane was by his side, and she willingly gave her life up as well. Muzan’s skin was burned completely, and his flesh melted. However, he is the Demon King and therefore will have the fastest regeneration. Fans witnessed that as he regained his body within seconds after the explosion. However, it gave the demon hunters and Tamayo an opening to attack. It looked like they had cornered him. But Nakime trapped everyone in the Infinity Castle, and Muzan got away while holding Tamayo hostage.

He took on the role of a major side character in the series. The anime didn’t really give him much screen time. However, his efforts away from the screen cannot be overstated. He was responsible for allocating the right amount of demon hunters to each mission. This is crucial because sending more demon hunters than what was required would result in a shortage for another mission.

He was responsible for reducing unnecessary deaths and for saving the lives of thousands of human beings. Ubuyashiki also brought in a sense of calm during times of chaos. Given the setting of Demon Slayer, fighting and death are constant. Chaos is everywhere, and therefore, having someone like Kagaya Ubuyashiki is quite reassuring. There is a soothing effect to his demeanor, which not only calms the demon hunters but also the viewers behind the screen.

The Ubuyashiki Clan set up the Demon Slayer Corps. Their only objective was to kill Muzan and end the demons’ tyranny. They shed blood, sweat, and tears to achieve this goal. Kiriya Ubyashiki was the final leader of the organization. He played an important role in helping demon hunters navigate through the Infinity Castle and defeat the demons.

Without his support, the demons could have eliminated the demon hunters one by one after separating them in that confusing labyrinth. The Ubuyashiki Clan is one of the most respected families since they spearheaded the operation that took down Muzan. Every human being in Japan owed their life to this organization and the numerous demon hunters who risked their lives every day on the battlefield.

Conclusion

Muzan’s birth is the cause of Kagaya Ubyashiki’s appearance in Demon Slayer. This curse afflicted the family because Muzan was a part of their lineage. Therefore, the male members of the family were cursed, and they lived exceptionally short lives. This curse was lifted when Muzan finally died. Kiriya Ubuyashiki went on to live for over 100 years in the Demon Slayer manga. Kagaya Ubuyashiki had a profound impact on the demon hunters and fans of the series, despite living a very short life.
